How many times have I said already that McProg is not prog, it just thinks it is. I've listened to much more prog in my life than epic trance, I know what prog is. All of these producers swear that they are doing groundbreaking, fun and melodic "prog" that breaks off from the monotonous aesthetics of the genre. I'm not implying that they believe this, they've said it themselves.

No, you don't understand. Just because I describe a style of music accurately doesn't mean I'm hating on it. I've always agreed with your definition of McTrance even if I have enjoyed it myself in the past and still enjoy it a bit to this day. Why? Because it's an accurate, although snarky, informal, and incomplete description of what the genre's aesthetics are about. When I came up with McProg I was just drawing out a comparison, not deliberately hating on Markus Schulz while defending Transa and Ferry Corsten.

I love listening to quite a few music styles I consider cheesy and I call them cheesy. I have no ideological problem with any style as long as I enjoy it, even if I also joke about its aesthetics.
