1. Tiesto haters are such f*cking retards...they moan about him playing his own productions....Ferry's been playing the same set of his own productions for nearly a year now yet you don't slag him off...

2. So what if Tiesto makes a f*ck up in his mixing now and again...I listen to trance (in clubs) to dance and to have a good time to...I don't listen to it so I can masturbate when the DJ mixes flawlessly in between in tracks.

3. And no, I'm not a Tiesto fan...I just think the Tiesto haters on here really need to check through the tripe they post before they hit "Submit". Some of your arguments against Tiesto have more holes than a tramps vest.

I remember when mp3.com had its big electronic music section, and there were thousands of amateur-produced anthem trance tunes, all of them just as adequate. But they didn't have big money/big label/big DJs pushing it. So the crackers didn't care.

Definitely agree with that.

And (puts flame suit on), am I the only one that thought that the examples posted so far weren't.....THAT stinkin' bloody horrible? I mean sure, for someone who has been voted #1 for three years straight you would think he should be able to mix better than a WinAmp crossfade plugin. But even so, with the way some of you talk, I was expecting to hear something that sounded like a retard banging on a trashcan with his drool cup. An occasional mediocre "bedroom DJ" transition doesn't deserve pages of "z0mg tiest0r is suck for teh micks!!1!".

Many other valid arguments against the scene in here though. :) But I just agree with those that are saying you can enjoy the music without wanking off to a perfect transition. Not that a perfect transition is a bad thing by any means. :)

And...Ishkur....LOL at everything you've posted in here so far.

Magik6 is a tiny bit off, i can get hundred samples of other dj's who do this, the transition itself is good

Second sample was when he didnt had any monitor at all, quite a good tranistion without monitors

Third sample doesnt sound like Tiesto

jeez, you ****** had days to find good samples, i have enough of them in sets here but you came up with this, what a nerd :haha: :haha:

offcourse i agree that Tiësto mixes like a but most guys here are just freaking nerds who go out every weekend to DJ BIlly in their local faggish american gaybar :haha:

ROFLMAO, well said.

Superstar DJs didn't kill trance.
It was killed by the desperate cynics who waste their lives overanalysing it.

It's club music - even if all it manages to do is make people go crazy on the dancefloor, then it has succeeded.

jesus christ what in flying 's name are you blabbering on about? the topic starter asked for tiesto transitions, i posted tiesto transitions. i couldn't care whether or not you could get hundreds of similarly samples by other DJs; the guy wanted ones by tiesto. i couldn't care if the monitors weren't working, it's still a mix. and the third mix, despite not sounding like tiesto, is infact actually by tiesto, and is . even by bedroom DJ standards

if you'd actually been paying attention to my other posts in this thread & the other one then you'd notice i actually enjoy tiesto & his mixing techniques most of the time. however since i'm not completely delusional & have fully functioning ears, i can acknowledge when he pulls off a mix. and choosing ones you disagree with apparently makes me a 'nerd'? well done for supporting the common view that the majority of tiesto fans are, in fact, complete retards.

Then why do we even have ing DJ's? Why dont they just stop one track and press play on another? How about we have a guy make a playlist on a CD of your favorite tracks, un mixed and just pop it in a CD player while you all dance and have a wonderfull time. And the guy who burned the CD can do the jesus pose like tiesto...and everyone can say what greast trackselection he has?

in hell you guys are retarded.

WHAT ING PRODUCTION!?!?! The blasted tune was a ing paint-by-numbers trance formula. Groan-inducing. I thought Transa's piss-poor, same-sounding schlock was far more inventive and creative than that drivel, which is funny because it's all the exact same ing song. A computer mad libs program can make trance anthems today. Simply input your random notes, ring out an aolian chord progression, drop the beat at the 96th bar, 32 bar washout, 4 bar snare roll and crescendo. Whoop dee ing doo. Trance anthems can be made in a ing day. Hours, even.

Seriously: what ing production!? Are you mentally retarded, or are you really starting to believe your own bull?

You obviously never went there. I'm telling you how I actually lived the whole experience of that crazy place. You can't judge if there was TAZ or not if you weren't there

Sure I can. Was it free? No? ....not a TAZ.

Do you even know what a TAZ is?

It's a good gauge of how people view the music they listen to. It shows exactly what their intelligence level is, what they value, what they're willing to buy. Ingenius, when you think about it. Market research firms don't get nearly as much useful data out of their surveys.

I use it as a good benchmark on what exactly the standard deviation of electronic music consumption lies. It's also a good source of jokes.

Ohhhh yes it is. I equate DJing to something like juggling. If you're a complete newb, the chances of you figuring it out first try aren't great. But after a few hours instruction and training, and a few weeks practicing....anyone can do it. It's not like being an actual artist, who has actual talent. Not everybody can draw a picturesque landscape. DJing is the bike-riding of personal talent and worth. Yet somehow we've elevated it to the loftiest of skillsets. The only other profession I can think of that comes close to such overwrought pretentiousness is....office managers, I guess.

Then how can you be so bloody blind as to what they actually do and how they do it?

Are the smoke and mirrors really that convincing?

Snarky and funny as always, Ishkur. But you're just dismissing my opinion with asinine comments and condescending dismissals for the simple reasons that you never really understood trance from day 1.

I understand trance more than you will ever ing know, and I don't have to dig into poli-speak musical theory and present it in a deliberately pretentious and obfuscating mental masturbating exercise to do it, to pretend that it's something it's not.

You might get away with that sophomoric bull in your thesis on classical studies, but not here. The more you try to blow smoke up my ass, the more I'll just make you look like a ing idiot.

So please. Try again. Use real examples this time, not piss-flapping intellectual buzzwords that try really hard to pretend to say something. Try using words and concrete instances that actually have a grounding here, in real life.
