Ok, need some advise on location:
My friend who's working the summer is temporarily staying in San Antonio (near the West End), as he's looking for work.
Once he finds some work, he'll find something more long-term for the summer, but he's not sure yet.
I don't arrive until July (for a little more than a week).
Based on the recommendations here, and talking to others, I think we may have different needs: should I just stay in Ibiza Town? Or should I stay in San Antonio and bus/taxi it to the other part of the island each day?
Or?

I live 15 min away from LAX, so that's my home :) But, $200 all-in to JFK is awesome too.

| ok, thought I would just post an update on Armada night. Someone on the AVB forum has posted what he claims as the Armada night lineups, and Armin is NOT listed on the closing night, instead just Markus with an 8 hour set. Seems weird. The official site is still showing Armin vs. Roger Sanchez every Tuesday June 30th through Sep. 15th |

Hey an 8 hour Markus set would AMAZING if that was true.
We are planing to hit both Armada nights when we are there anyways :D |

yes...I have a feeling it would be actually 6-7 hrs (Amnesia opens at 11,
closes officially at 7, but as early as 6. The 8th hour could come at the pre-party (I think at bar M if I am not mistaken) if Armada does a closing pre-party!
all I now is I am ready for amazing Tequila-infused Sangrias at Mambo's!! |

whats wrong with august? I went last year end of august, thought it was ok. Prices for hotels are a bit higher though. |

most of Europe goes on vacation on August so that's when the most people are there....long lines for taxis, clubs are stuffed, etc. i've been in August 3 times and last time went over Labor Day for a week and just being in the 1st week of Sept made a notable difference in the # of people out. |

Exactly I went once mid September had the best time.... The line for a can during Aug is a killer and not to mention inside of the clubs you cant even move. No offense to the Brits as I know not all are the same but the one who tend to frequent Ibiza in July and Aug are wack jobs and low class they give San Antonio a bad name!! |

I didn't even go to san antonio when I went. hehe. I think I'm going the first week in July this year. That would be cool if the clubs aren't so packed like you said. |

So a really good friend of mine just canme in to a large sum of money. I'm trying to talk him in to going to Ibiza this summer. Just wondering what you guys think.
If I were to purchase a ticket now what are the prices looking like for round trip at the end of July or where should I check? What airline?
also it would be our first time so I don't know if we should stay in San Antonio or Ibiza Town and I know everyone has there preferances. Just wondering what would be better as far as availability at this point. |

Looks like Orbitz.com are giving good deals if you fly in/out during the week and not on weekend.
I recommend staying in Playa d' En Bosa (down the street from Space) I stayed @ Jet Apartments which is a tad roachy but great location! Playa d' en Bosa is also nearest to the airport.
I've also stayed in Santa Eulalia if you want somewhere more quiet and away from all the madness. (more family orientated) |
