Sounds like the Delta flights. Other airlines are much higher.
Delta is $299 w/ all taxes and fee if you pick the right days. Other days are around $335 on Delta, still hella cheap.
For people in the San Francisco area, Delta has flights from Oakland to Barcelona for $306-344. 2 Stops though. Or out of SFO for $364, with one stop. Might be able to get it cheap if you move the dates around. I've been testing with a 09/08/09 depature and 09/15/09 return.
ok but we know those are fake dates for you because if you did that you would completely miss *both* Armada nights on the 8th and 15th :whip:
so you must *just* be testing :toocool:

Last night you could get flights and hit those dates for like $330.
This all said, Delta is now $576 for the same flights I was looking at just a few hours ago between LAX and Barcelona. Cheapest for the same dates I've been testing with is US Airways at $523...5 seats left :p
That's airlines for you. Sometimes there are 1-to-5-to-12 hour sales.

Also watch out for baggage restrictions. Many airlines only let you take 15-20 kilos and then charge you per kilo you are over.

Its important to keep in mind that while low fares are great, a majority of expenses are incurred after you get to the Island. Hotel, Car, club tickets, drinks (etc), shopping, food. It adds up much quicker than you may think. Something to keep in mind... :)

i agree...but with fares as much as $900 less now than in 2007 to get to the island, it helps a lot...
it looks to me with the euro rebounding that the club prices/drinks/food/etc., are about the same in the past. though the pacha hotel where i stayed last time is offering a 10% discount for bookings right now....
i figure i could do the trip for $2,000 less today (mainly due to the airfare) than it cost in 2007 for me and this girl to go on a 7 day trip there...

I lived in Barcelona for a month and stayed at the RESA residential hall. It is mostly for students, however anyone can stay there. (It is fairly cheap) It's a studio with a small kitchenette. Only downside is no a/c (I bought a fan from down the street and left it in the room...many of the rooms already have fans from others who have left them)

what kind of price range?
note - i've found that Best Westerns can be very nice for the $ in Europe...basically they are all independent hotels that just use the BW name for additional reservations...
