Any west coasters going to Ibiza, Spain this season?... (pg. 37)

I'll be there from 9/7 to 9/11. Plans are Sander van Doorn on Tuesday at Amnesia, Cream on Thursday w/ Paul van Dyk... Anything else is just gravy.
I'll be at Electric Zoo Festival in NYC before heading to Spain, and then am stopping in Berlin on the way back home for We Are One/VANDIT 10 Year Anniversary.
I may end up making this a solo trip now because my friends are flakes, but the White Isle has a way of making friends I just haven't met yet.
Hope to see some of you there! I'll be staying in Playa D'en Bossa. |

| anyone there around Aug 31st? my hubby gets to play for an hour at a small club(HUSH) in San An. come by and hang with a fellow TA and support an American local overseas. my hubby is excited to say the least...he can say he spun in Ibiza. it might not be a big club but its something. cross one off the bucket list. ;) |

Whoa!! I finished reading all 37 pages of the IBIZA MEGA THREAD (taking notes along the way, of course, loads of useful info here!)
Anyone else going in 2011? I'll be there mid-end of August. DC10 is open again, is it still as good as they say? I prefer Progressive, Tech and Prog Trance, will be skipping Carl Cox tho, listened to one of his Ibiza sets yesterday and it's just not for me.
So far, I have tix to A&B at Cream and that's it! (more work to do, obviously...) |

| 8 of us are going from Sept 18 - 26. We are renting a villa right by Space FWIR. Never been before, but my friend that is orgainzing it has been numerous times with his wife so it's just a matter of getting there! :) |

Don't skip Cox - the back room sets are very dark tech(no) and not my thing as well, but he always plays the warm up/opening sets on the terrace which is bouncy, meldoic prog and tech. The atmosphere is great and you can always go on somewhere else afterwards i the back is too hard.
Don't buy all of your tix in advance either. You can often find ticket touts, who sell their free passes as a source of income. I ended paying 50% for space than the ticket price by making friends with the touts. |

It's actually more the waa waa House beats that seem omnipresent in his sets that bother me...kind of like eating fish that's been left out too long, probably won't kill me but doesn't make me feel so great either...
As for advance tix, I realize that I'm going high season when it's most crowded, but early September just isn't possible with my schedule at work. On one hand, seems stupid to fly some 6,000 miles over and take a chance that my favorite nights will be sold out to save a few bucks, but on the other hand I know that Ibiza is expensive and 50% off tickets is an extra couple of drinks! :D
One strategy I thought about is to buy all my tix ahead of time through Ibiza Spotlight, then look for cheaper ones once I get there. Spotlight has an amazing ticket refund policy, so I could cancel any tickets purchased and get a full refund even a few days beforehand! :) |

I'll probably go to Sensation Amsterdam on July 2nd, then one week back home in Switzerland and Ibiza from July 10th - 17th. Can't wait for Ibiza again.. :)
Where do you guys stay? I'm thinking this year I'll go back to Playa d'en Bossa.. Space and Bora Bora nearby and not too far from Amnesia.. :) |
