I'll stop bumping this thread, but for those who are looking ...the 92 euros ME Barcelona + breakfast is back up, so I reserved it.
I'm a bit concerned the location might be a bit too far, but I've stayed on La Rambla before - been there done that, nearly got a knife pulled on me, so I won't die.
Cash & pts for Madrid booked too.
My place in Ibiza is set...I am DONE! |

Been on the Island for 6 days so far (another 14 to go) and have thus far done We Love Space, the Cocoon Opening, and last nights Cream Opening Party.
The economic slowdown is definitely in full effect in Ibiza. A lot less people here this year than last. If you're coming here, do yourself a favor and don't drive or carpool to any of the clubs. Take the bus or cab it because the cops are all over the place and are a bit on the heavy handed side in their pursuit of making Ibiza more family friendly. |

thanks for the update...how are the prices? should we not be buying tickets ahead of time? want to get vip for cream/armada and wondering if we'll find better deals if we wait... |

Prices are normal but i would recommend against getting VIP for Armada or Cream, as you'll not get the full experience of the being in the crowd.
Firstly the VIP in Amnesia can be quite pricey if you don't know anyone at the Club. If you do, then its significantly less, but you're still segregated.
At Amnesia, most of the upstairs is considered VIP, but even within the VIP, there are special sections that are roped off for people who purchase bottle service. So basically, if you're in the non roped off areas, which are further away from the DJ booths in the terrace and the main room, then chances are, you've probably been invited up there through a connection. In either case, i would party downstairs, the atmosphere is much better.
As for buying tickets, i recommend buying online through a place like Spotlight. It will help you get into the club quicker if you show up with the print out. |

| Actually the last bit about VIP applies to Cocoon and not Cream or Armada. I think the latter two allow people to add a VIP option for another 20 or 30 Euros, which allows you upstairs, but not in the bottle service areas. |

I'm planning on the add-on VIP through spotlight or clubtickets - just to have the option to go up and down in case the downstairs gets too frenetic and we need some breaks.
I was thinking about getting a bottle, but not at the price they are offering - they want 600 euros TOTAL for 2 people for Cream. I think it used to be cheaper and might have been worth it before...
Armada doesn't seem to have an VIP access options yet, so I am still waiting on that... |

Cream is the only Amnesia party you can buy a vip ticket for.
i had a table there for cocoon 2 years ago - honestly i'm glad we did as it was a madhouse downstairs...i've been in that scrum for Cream years ago - i'd rather be above it all :) |

do you recall what it cost then? I just can't justify 600E for one night...that's almost $850!!! and my wife barely drinks!
I'd still be interested to see how much tables are for Armada night. Someone from clubtickets said they would already be selling...but it hasn't happened.

it was pretty expensive. i think it was around $1,200 or more for 4 of us...and i think that was only 1 bottle + a bunch of beers. could have been 2 bottles but i tend to think it was just 1...and we were only there for like 2 - 3 hours too (ended up going to Pacha for a couple of hours for Sanchez). luckily one of my friends was very generous and picked up the tab for everyone... |

Bottle service for Cocoon starts at a 1,000 minimum and can go as high as several thousand. I got a peak at the entire Cocoon guest list the other night and saw quite a variance. So assuming someone were to get the 1k minimum, it would probably end up being somewhere in the vicinity of 1,300 Euros (or about $1900) when you factor in tax and automatic gratuity for the server.
I would imagine Armada night would be a bit less since Cocoon is the premium club night on the island. |

they didn't quote us a minimum fee the nite we were there...i just remember the bill being around 800 euros....bu that was September 2007 so they could have raised the prices.... but those minimum charges are always negotiable if you know the right people too
hard to believe but Pacha is actually probably the best value for getting a table. you can do 1 bottle for around 300 euros total... |
