yep you can use your cards pretty much anywhere... but always good to have enough cash in hand to pay for your bartabs... sometimes it can be a bit of a hassle to get those paid on your card...

Visa and mastercard are accepted almost everywhere and even the bars will take them. A few things to know make sure you call all your credit card company's before going and letting them know you will be traveling so they don't think its fraud they will cut you. Also check to see what are the fees they charge you for conversion I know Capital one doesn't charge any its the best.

Visa and Mastercards are taken at most clubs and hotels, but you also have to keep in mind that most businesses in Ibiza are Mom and Pop owned, so its a good idea to always have cash on hand for restaurants and random stops at bars.

Not too many businesses take American Express here.

This is excellent advice, especially on transactions above $1000, American credit card companies are notorious for declining transactions because they suspect fraud. In certain cases, its necessary to call them to pre-approve large transactions (ie for hotel costs) before attempting the charge.

hard to believe but Pacha is actually probably the best value for getting a table. you can do 1 bottle for around 300 euros total...

Some friends of mine did Morillo at Pacha the other night and paid just that. Its cheaper at Pacha, if you can stand the music (which i can't). :)

the key is as Tommy noted, to let your CC company know ahead of time you are going to be out of the country on certain dates...then you should not have any problem. i've never had any charges declined when i've done that...

Can you still do the dinner at Pacha and enter free?
That's probably the only way you'd get me going to Pacha again, short of someone buying me a bottle.

Not true dinner will not grant you free entry... I have tried several times.

If you actually want bottles PM me I have a few good contacts there I can set you up with. There are no surcharges and crap I get you direct with the club. The cheapest bottle there is 300 euros its for Absolute then its 360 euros for Goose, That will get 2 people entry. so you can basically knock of 110 euros from the bottle price because that's how much 2 tickets are. I am not a fan of bottle service don't get me wrong, I think its a total waist of money when done in the states but somewhere like Pacha where you visit a few times maybe in your lifetime its def a good buy.

tommy - not to argue but i'm pretty positive i'm right. reason being is that the restaurant is inside the club...so you walk in and eat and when you are done you area already in the club!

i've never heard of anyone paying for entrance that ate there. i'm not arguing what someone told you...but i think you were misinformed.

someone does mention now they have a minimum spend at dinner required to get in free...but i doubt they really worry about that unless you just order like $10 in food/drinks.

btw, Pacha is very liberal at the door in terms of getting in for free...

when me and this girl were there Sept 2007, we stayed at the Pacha hotel which gets you free entry. but after a couple of nites, the door people recognized us and didn't bother to even check the guest list - they just waived us in.

another time i was there, a guy i know that owned a bar in the port took a bar napkin, wrote a note on it, gave it to me and told me to hand it to a guy at the door...i did and i walked right in no wait/free for Subliminal!

point being its not too hard to get in free there via various methods...
