That's not entirely true. You stay away from the bars in clubs - the cheapest way to get pissed on the island is to go to San Antonio, the the west end where they literally throw booze at your for pennies.

(insert joke here about british people in san an, etc.).

Honestly, the only way to drink on the island is to do that - everywhere else is a rip off - just make sure you leave before you get too hammered.

well the cheapest we found booze for in the westend was at capones, and that was 2 pints of san miguels for 5 euro. it does the trick, but the liquor store across the street from our hotel in san an, near kanya beach, was selling 750ml smirnoff bottles packed with 7 redbulls for 12 euros, no .

San miguel - that takes me back, and yeah it does the trick but Hmmm, maybe it's changed then? A few years ago you could go to any of the bars towards the top of that strip and get the "buy one bottle of beer, get two free shots" deal. They were even doing the buy a bottle of spirit (20eur) and get 4 free beers. You could basically get badly drunk for about 25 eur. Yeah it was cheap schnapps as the spirit but you didn;t care a after a few shots.

The english pub at the top, round the corner was also not bad value for proper drinks.

Vahid, I and jealous. I hope you live up to all British stereotypes while over there ;) Check out the UK TA forum (at least the only active thread) "where are all the UK TA regs". Couple of peeps going out there seem to be quite hooked up.....

I'll be back on the 18th of Sep for the closings. :)

Do you guys recommend buying tickets now for September?

This will be my schedule:

9/14 Tiesto (wasn't my choice really, friend wants to). VIP seems like only tables, and is way too much. So probably a regular entry.

9/15 Armada night w/Markus - seems like only regular tickets will be offered. (last time I checked, there were VIP tables, 400+30E, but probably wont bother)

9/17 Cream - will probably get VIP balcony since it's available.

If you're definitely sure you're going to a given club night then its advisable to buy tickets online with Spotlight. This way you'll have the piece of mind of not having to worry about buying them once you arrive.

Having an internet ticket also expedites you into the club if you're going to Amnesia. You get to go through the guest list line which is a breeze compared to some of the other lines.

are clubtickets.co.uk reputable as well, or just stick with spotlight when possible?

I've heard stories about freebies on the Island, but I don't have personal experience with that and dont want to get screwed.

There are bars that occasionally give away free tickets along the PDB strip if you come inside and buy a couple of drinks, but these are usually for the rubbish club nights like Monday Calling at Space and others who struggle to make their numbers. Quality club nights will always charge premium prices.

If i were you i would definitely stick with Spotlight. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

This is not really a review. It's just a summary of what we did:

Mon: Tiesto @ Privilege. Again, visuals we're fantastic. I'd recommend going just to see them. (We had 30€ entry, which made it nicer). Went to bed at 8am.
Tue: Digweed/Cox @ Space. Awesome night, my favorite club. Went to bed at 1pm.
Wed: (no details, sorry, could tell you in person). Didn't go to bed.
Thu: A friend from Barcelona came over and visited Ibiza. Went bar-hopping all night and got plastered. Went to bed at 4am.
Fri: Sander K @ Pacha. I didn't like the club as much as others, but overall was a fantastic night for the music. Didn't go to bed.
Sat: Was out all day, and then went drinking in San An. This was a recovery day, so we went to bed at 4am.
Sun: Lawler (&others) @ Space. Fantastic night, stayed from 7pm to 6:30am. Finally hit the bed at 1pm.
Mon: Sven Vath (&others), Cocoon @ Amnesia. Great club, great night. Didn't go to bed.

I was there for 8 days. I think 10 would had been perfect, but I have to see other places too.

Off to Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos tonight.

We got tickets for 1 night from Spotlight, and had no issues.
