No one said that. We're all surprised at your 'musical' inflexibility shall I say. We all find Michel Angelo marvelous but Jackson Pollock is still misunderstood by a lot of people nowadays. It is not because a style of music is underdeveloped to your taste that there was less work behind the music.

Don't criticise what you don't understand, that's all i'm saying.

Minimal fans are so self-righteous they actually believe that they are the only people worthy of minimal fandom. The rest of us mortal dance fans totally don’t get minimal because our simple taste for music is ‘’unrefined and underdeveloped’’ and their taste of music is of greater virtue than ours. And in this phony retarded sheep like way of thinking. lies the appeal of minimal.
See… minimal fans think that being a minimal fan lets them into some big secret that nobody else gets. They think that only a select few can decode this ‘’super intelligent’’ music but the fact of the matter is, any idiot can understand minimal because its hidden appeal lies in the fact that it gives the illusion of being electronic music for smart people. So as long as there’s something on the record to ‘’figure out’’ or ‘’interpret’’, it’s going to make some college kid feel smart. ;)
Faux intellectualism like this at the expense of real music cannot go unpunished.

I think it's more accurate to call it lazy songwriting with zero imagination.

I fully agree with the topic starter. Minimal is boring for me also.

But:

I just think that the reason for the minimal music is that ppl are really listening to it and liking it. Who can stop minimal music for releasing? Maybe it is still trend?

I sense that minimal is floating now in that same "non-developing" pond like trance nowadays. Lots of tunes but nothing refreshing, different isn't happening - why? It's just lack of imagination.

Let's look at trance now. Many "artist" release music, but many of them sounds same and they are lacking of interesting things. What makes music good? I would say if track doesn't contain surprising elements, it is a bad track. But - we have to understand that there are many people who doesn't like surprises, they only like "dull" tracks.

Solution? There is no. Just live your life and listen ty music.

man, you need to get a grip! THIS is faux intellectualism.

I don't like the vast majority of this stuff either, but you're in tin-foil-hat territory.
