Yea thanks Doombot...plus certain tracks sound better at certain speeds. If i ever get to play out i'll destroy rooms just based on how good my ear is for these types of things.

+/-0.80% rule of thumb:

at 125 bpm, +/- 0.80% is about 1 bpm

Ok, straw man. What I said is a fact. Moving the pitch slider in any direction to any specific number doesn't mean you are changing the speed of the BPM by that numerical amount, you are changing it by that much percent. Not to mention, you've rounded up when you should have rounded down.

If you're important, people will not care if the music is beatmatched or not.

there are 16 tracks that i labelled as 'mnml', out of about 2700 in that catalog (which doesnt include my vinyl) and of those 16 i may have played one (loco dice - paradiso) the others were mostly free promotions from beatport. i wouldnt pay for that .

I don't understand why you are trying to defend yourself on this subject. Good music is good music, it doesn't matter if people call it minimal or not. Who gives a .

ok now that was pretty damn nice towards the end (sorry but had to skip the first half).

so heres the thing, i was very much into minimal techno and tech house and , i dont play it much anymore because i think the scene is like a fruit thats been dried up and sucked of all the nectar and theres nothing left but an empty shell ... i just have completely moved onto dubstep and other genres that are still new and have fresh things happening in them because they're so new and haven't been raped yet.

here are the only recordings of me ever made to date, this is the stuff i used to play. i think you will like the first one because it has a lot of deep/loopy house similiar to your ctb set.

2008 skyway beach party - this was in the pouring rain towards the end so i played that track with the vocals "sun in the sky you know how i feel"

2008 skyway beach party - at the end we burned down the tiki hut dj booth and danced around the fire thats where we got our prod crew name "burning hut productions"

and this is the new stuff im into:
2009 skyway beach party - dubstep

ignore the crummy mixing!

i guess it's because i spend a LOT of energy (time, money, etc) digging for records and learning about music in such a broad sense and it's a little offensive to be pigeonholed in this way.

but you're right

but also, whenever i can whore my mixes, i try
