I think it was probably meant to help describe the genre of music that people would hear. I did not make the flyers.
I know its hard to believe but there are people out there that do not know exactly what genre of electronic music they really like, however, they are able to recognize some of the big name DJs' names and can associate that name with a style of music that they are already familier with and enjoy hearing. |

| yeah, it just comes across as plastering "WARNING: MAINSTREAM POP CULTURE EVENT" in red letters on the flyer to someone like me, maybe I'm just an elitist asshat I dunno |

I actually liked the flyer. That way I know what genre of music each dj plays and so I can schedule accordingly. Firestone I wanted to make it to your event, but I was in the ER. so hopefully I can attend the next time you play around sunnyvale.
progressive, uplifting and vocals they are want I so much wanna hear..thanks for letting the plebeians know..
Also I think by showing the genre of music , I think I am able to see and get my ass out to see new talent, for which otherwise I wouldnt go. |
