I see what he's saying. It's confusing in the eyes of clubbers.
When stating dates, most people by the night of. It's the night of July 6th. Even if it's on the morning of July 7th if you want to get technical. People don't go "Oh, I'm going to slide at 3am Saturday morning." -- they go, "I'm going t Slide at 3am Friday night."
or "Lawler is also playing at Slide on Friday night."
If I was just to glance and saw July 7th on that calendar, I'd think sat nigt/sun morning.
This is just how I see it though ;P |

well the slide party does technically start on saturday morning... one could argue it's misleading to announce it for the 6th rather than 7th @ 3am. oh well, anyone who doesn't realize 'steve lawler afterparty' occurs immediately after the 'steve lawler party' can use a little blank & jones to wake themselves up :p :toothless

Buying my flight tomorrow - time to get out my Lawlerskates! :disbelief I'm hoping he brings the dirty and leaves that Viva crud behind.
I'd love to catch up with some of the SFTAs while I'm at Lawler - my roommate from Colorado is living in San Fran for the summer so I'll be a-visiting as much as I can. |

According to the TicketWeb page of the event:

the party is on thursday.. The way I see it, the party starts on on the night from thursday to friday. The slide after party happens right after, which is friday morning ! |

The party is on FRIDAY NIGHT to SAT MORNING.... you all are reading into it too much...
Ruby Skye always puts the night of the party above the flyer on the calender, and it says Friday. They would never risk running a party till 5am on a Thursday night. Slide is never open that late on a weeknight.
Steve Lawler's myspace states 11:30PM on JULY 6th (Friday night) -- so that should clear the confusion... |

one thing about this show, blank & jones were really WOW'd by ruby last time they were there because of all the mardi gras decor, themed acrobat dancers and phenomenal lighting. my guess is they're anticipating a similar level of effort in their coming shows there. i just hope ruby skye doesn't half ass the night with anemic lighting and minimal everything else like they sometimes do. at least have good lighting and sound!
this night (spundae anniversary) was DOPE...

Open smart. Opening at Ruby Skye requires a much different take than opening at Ten15.
