About Sammy D
What happens when you mix growing up in Alaska surrounded by Christian Music, years of exposure to the rave scene in the mid-90s, and acid? You get the enigmatic [KONTROL] resident, Sammy D. With a residency at one of San Francisco's best techno nights, eight successful years of dj'ing behind him, releases on Classic, Dirtybird and Buzzin' Fly, and numerous side projects such as Lark After Dark and a 50's lounge act, Sammy D.'s middle name is versatility. His prodigal talent as a musican and dj, combined with a 6th sense for whipping any crowd into a funk, has taken San Francisco by storm, or at least a light shower.
About Leon:
Leon, aka zar, was born and raised in switzerland, originally from croatia, and is known in the swiss italian as a dj with a techncal approach on the decks, and respected producer. Dj-ing since 1998, and producing in 2001, leon cruised all the clubs in the swiss italian, and participated to huge rave party s in italy, france as sundance festival, street rave parade... known also as open minded musician, he produced electronic arrangments for instrumental music and supported bands like Raya, Koan and Matamachete (his actual band) wich was choosen to be part of a movie soundtrack produced in the swiss italian and spread worldwide. after the meeting with steve, they started together a new production experience, based on techno and minimal sounds.
