Mr Stroke:
It was ubercrowded but my gf got us upstage which was far less congested. Opening dj was great, loved when he dropped Eric Prydz vs. Pink Floyd - Positive Education because the bass was SO hard in ruby's system. Crystal Method was sick as too and they were having a great time djing. We had a great time, great friends, drinks were flowing, midnight hit and there was a storm of red confetti and all was well. Then after 9 drinks at around 2am I went to the bathrooms and almost lost it. Came out 20 mins later to find my gf was completely wasted and a friend was watching her for me. We planned on partying till late morning (ruby was serving breakfast and coffee at 4am and bar reopened at 6am, hell our friends were at ruby till 9am) and checking into our hotel at noon a block away at the hilton but things changed. I ended up having to sober up to take care of the situation and book another hotel for $340 (ing nye night) and we were there only 7-8hrs. So it was an amazing night with amazing music and everything from 11pm - 2am. :wtf:
Rich: thank you soooooooooo much for this set...I remember the beats were so sick and kicking myself for getting so wasted and ruining the rest of their set. :)
PS. Our New Years Resolution: no more getting hammered till we can barely stand. |
