Rich has done a great job with the list for a couple of years. pass the torch back to DaveT, lol |

| i would update this thing, but it was much easier maintaining it when it was current than to play catch up at this point. also i have a lot of on my plate including moving to sf on the 1st... and the torch was passed when rafal made sfedm, not to mention i don't think anyone cared about 90% of the events i listed. i may update it when lovefest nears... |

What happened to SFEDM? Same as this calendar?
I'm sad to see they're going by the wayside. There was a while when they would be integral to my weekend planning.
Edit: thanks for doing it for so long/(maybe) restarting it again . |

Thanks Rich!
Speaking of sfedm, the site has been down and mentions that they'll "be back in a few weeks, maybe."
And good luck with the move! |

| The days of moderated/maintained event calendars are over. It should be intelligently crowdsourced. |

You would be surprised. I know several people(that don't post on TA) who look at this calender every week.
Thanks for keeping it current as long as you could though. Hopefully someone has the time out there to keep up with it:( |

got a new job and been re-prioritizing many of my side projects (haven't taken photos in a while either). then with rich slowing down, i could barely catch up either. meanwhile, my queue of submissions was filling up from promoters, and didn't want to be ignoring them so easier to shut it down for the moment.
we've been lucky to have these nicely curated/moderated lists but it takes some manual work. if these calendars would automatically accept any submission like many other sites, we'd have to sort through tons of bubba-the-auto-beat-matching-ed-hardy-wearing-vegas-electro-and-hip-hop-bedroom-djs listing themselves as headliners at a country-western-bar happy hour on a tuesday afternoon.
hope to come back with the back end rebuilt to make event moderation easier. i've had a version of that sitting incomplete for many many months. |

| congrat rafal! :) my job right now involves support systems engineering, but as soon as i've automated myself out of a job i'll be switching over to web dev and picking up on a lot of useful languages so it'll be more integral for me to get back into the swing of this as a sort of training ground. it is hard though when you stare at a computer for 8-9 hours a day to be motivated to get home and stare at a computer for any longer. most of my free time is spent climbing at the gym, playing tennis, cycling, or doing other active stuff away from electronic screens until it's time to sleep. i am barely motivated to go out on the weekends anymore unless the party involves sunlight, outdoors and total freedom. it could be a seasonal attitude though, we'll see... |
