He played at Ruby once and that was years ago when they had their horrid sound system and about 1/10th the lighting they have now (and it's not like they have a lot of lighting now).
I dunno why the switch, whether it was a falling out, politics, money, or what. Not my business. He has openly said in more than one interview that Ten15 is one of his fav places in the world (though it was long ago), so I dunno. Peeps like Armin, Ferry, etc used to say how Circus was one of their fav places to play in the world and then one day they left it just to try something new. So PvD playing somewhere else is nothing new or unusual. Just how things go sometimes.

I guess ruby is sticking to their genre-shuffling, and booking some trance finally.
I don't understand why they book 10 house djs in a row and then 10 trance djs in a row. So bizarre. Coincidence? |

It's nothing new. I think I even made a post on here or somewhere recently where it will seem dead for awhile in a certain genre then there's a few amazing months...and that it was only a time before trance had a period like it again (that said, while there is a cluster in february let's wait and see if it goes any longer)
