the cool thing about sasha is how his sound evolves constantly and how it might not be popular, but it's always edgy and pushes the envelope. that afterparty set kinda screwed him in a number of ways... sasha is a progression dj and the slot he was given was literally how long it takes him to warm up. the illogical order of that event put him in a bind when the djs before him are playing 10 bpm higher and he has to bring it back down. there's just no way to collapse that energy and not have half the crowd be bored by it. the guy plays amazing sets when the night is set up right for him, when he plays to smaller crowds and when you give him at very least 3 hours to do his thing. even still, he can be a lazy dj sometimes.
i enjoyed his afterparty set cause i was sitting up in the bleachers puffin and relaxin, but of the 6 times i've seen him it still ranks 6th by a huge margin. i can understand you almost falling asleep in the crowd while listening to supermayer's two of us for 8 minutes waiting for a breakdown :stongue: especially after an hour of j00f :toothless
luckily digweed sounds like a better candidate for the 4th... and digweed has never failed me :crazy: GUIV!!!! :whip: |
