Spain shows again why they suck in the world cup. I only had them going to the semi's because I thought they might of changed after winning the Euro's, but I guess not.
Congrats to the swiss. I knew they were good defesivley, but they looked really good on the counter, and probably should of had 1 more.
To be fair to spain, they did have their chances, but if you can't finish then you are not going to win.
I don't know why torres was on the bench, and why they never put fabergas on. Was torres recovering from injury or something? I might of missed that report. Fabergas was a big part of them winning the euro's I am still surprised he doesn't start for spain. He is a midfielder who dictates the game.
Anyway I still see spain coming out of this group. It all depends on how they do against chile. I think everyone will beat honduras, or maybe switzerland will draw, and that's why they will not go through, but it's very tricky now.

i really think spain are ed here. it's a huge blow when you consider chile won too.
i mean, if chile wins the second game against the swiss, they don't even need the spain game. switzerland could then conceivably beat honduras. spain get sent home packing.
although if spain beats chile -- all 3 teams will have 6 points will come down to GD or goals scored :eyespop:

I was thinking about all of this in my head earlier, and it just boggles my mind that Spain might be out before the "playoffs." :nervous:
Spain did have a few good chances, but like Ali says, if you cant finish, whats the point?
