Argentina's team is looking really good this time around. I always support Argentina and Italy :)

Yumpop, maybe a TA world cup game viewing @ Oliva could be done? I'm sure G could arrange something nice for us.

Yes, have thought of it already. Next round will be better. I am going to post an FB event for it and list it here.

jeez no one is giving paraguay the time of day.

Given the fact that cabanas isnt playing, I still think they are going to surprise every one of you.

Im banking on a south american team to take the cup.

a bunch of friends and i (and ravracer should be coming as well) are heading to NYC for the USA/England game.

yankeesbaby - you're going to be a tonic? my friend recommended jack dempsey's but we're down for any place that's ready to rock!

wow that sounded so lame :wtf:

yes I went there last World Cup. It was great bc lots of people from other countries easily found it, but WAY too many people at times :nervous: It was like ATB in Pacha. lol

lol. i saw some vids on their web site. I think it's open air in the summer, so it won't be a total sweat box.

All of you guys are wrong! N. Korea's gonna take it! Lol! J/K.

USA - Will not go past the round of 16 (that's if they even make it out of the group stage).

England - I think the farthest they'll go is probably to the semi-finals and lose because they're gonna choke. They're a good team but, I just don't see them making it to the finals.

Argentina - I honestly think the guy that Maradona should of made truce with and call up was Juan Roman Riquelme. Argentina really need that guy, IMO. My guess for them is reaching the quarter-finals only.

France - Is a joke! Republic of Ireland should of been in the World Cup instead. Plus, how could you lose to China?! Yeah, you shouldn't underestimate any team at all but, come on... China?? A team that you KNOW you should of beat with the players you have. This team is REALLY missing Zidane. They need to really pull their act together if they wanna progress! They shouldn't be doing as bad as they are doing.

Holland - They have a great offense but, not that great of a defense. If their defense can hold it together long enough then I can see them in the final.

Spain - I see Spain as probably the only really complete team right now. From a keeper to a forward.

As for the final... My bets would have to go with Holland and Spain in the final.

Well, those are just MY THOUGHTS about it so yeah.... We'll see how it goes.

I think South africa will come out of there group, in second, but It's up to france and mexico to battle it out. I favor the french to get out of that group, but that could be one of the suprises.

Hell yeah, that group is gunna be very very interesting..

As for USA, I think they are overrated as always. I think they will be runners up in there group, but will probably lose to most likely germany in the next round. They are horrible defensivley. Don't know why people like "the guch" or however you spell his nick name. Donavon overrated. Tim howard is the best guy on the team, and he has a crappy defence in front of him, so he has a lot of work to do.

I disagree on everything but the crappy defense... I think Tim Howard definitely steals a couple goals though, as bad as that sounds, so it minimizes the impact our bad defense might have on the game... Donovan's a game changer and he really wants a little bit of glory this time around. Our midfield and attack is really strong, and Donovan will steal a game or two with a free kick or set piece or something like that... I think Altidore's ready to shine (hope he is), so he's another difference maker...

Italy will lose to spain in the quaters, they are an old aging team, and I don't see them winning it back to back.

They may lose to Spain in the quarters, but just because Spain is a little bit better. Half of Italy's "old" squad got cut out and Lippi injected the team with a lot of talented youngers, a load of surprises, which I've been wanting him to pull for some years now.. 3/4 of the squad are virtually unknowns, which is a good thing, I think...

i love nevada's.
good thing they know me by now.
i'm there pretty much there every weekend for Barça games.

gets packed easily though. but out of all the bars i've been to, none compare in terms of ambiance like this bar. where else do you have a whole section singing their club's anthem word for word. people know their fútbol there, and it's not one of those, oh, it's the world cup, it's the cool thing right now, let's watch, no, it's a true fútbol bar.
plus, jack is a freaking bible when it comes to the history of fútbol.

my team:
Vamos, vamos ARGENTINA, vamos, vamos a ganar,
que esta barra quilombera, no te deja, no te deja de alentar!!!!

pero seguro que gana España, ya es tiempo, ya es justo. venga!
