I guess from experience I can tell mediocre football when I see it. I must know something since I've made a nice chunk of cash with this Cup, hehe.
You're not telling me anything I didn't know, Peruvian football IS an embarrassment. They do have some great players playing with some really good teams all over the world, but somehow they don't seem to get their together when playing with the national team. The golden years of Peruvian football with Nene Cubillas, Sotil and Lolo Fernandez are long gone, we all know it. Also, Chemo shouldn't be coaching the team, he was a legend on the field; outside, not so much. He should've known when to bow out from football gracefully, instead, now his fans don't like him anymore because they expect him to coach the way he played... The officials should just dismantle that sorry team.
I'm part Argentinean too, and I support their team to death. :) (AGUANTEEE ARGENTINAAAA!!)
The referee will always favour the favourite team for the game, and unfortunately for the US, they played the favourite. Gambling is a defining factor for the outcome of the games in most parts of the world, I was kind of expecting the US to be out before quarterfinals, I don't think the US was at the level to beat the other teams in this round.
Now, stop being so bitter... it's not my fault nobody liked the US team in Africa :p |
