cambiasso is a winger, but i agree with you! i think he should've brought him regardless.
i don't know about zanetti, he's a little too old to take the hits he used to while defending.
i like jonas, but demichelis has been playing a horrible defense, he cost us the goal against south korea!!! :whip:
i think the team is at its strongest point right now and with all the things that have been going on in this tournament i easily see them getting to the finals.
besides, who wouldn't wanna see the biggest rivalry in the history, brasil vs argentina in a world cup (never happened before)???? WHAT A GAME!!! :disbelief |

honestly, what i'm worried about is the fact that messi hasn't scored one goal and palermo scored a goal literally 2 minutes after he went in for milito.
psychologically, messi and milito (who are HUGE players for the team) can lose motivation and if that happens, we are royally screwed. :(
i don't know, we'll see what happens. but these guys thrive on motivation, as soon as they lose, it's done. |

Messi's been behind almost every goal, indirectly, or at the center of it... I think he's a classy enough player to understand that leadership of his team on the international stage is more valuable than the goal tally.. I don't think it's anything but a small thought in the back of his mind.. Obviously, a Messi goal early in the next game will double the incredible play he's already been showing this World Cup, so I think we're all pushing for him, but I honestly don't think it'll affect him.. |

zanetti too old?
veron is too old! and when he has been on the field, the team has suffered. his passes are off, and he can't keep up at this level.
zanetti, for his age, is FIT. he runs all over the field, and his defense at Inter has been solid this year.
i would have brought Zanetti and Gabi Milito. Two solid defenders.
i'm not worried about Messi, he hasn't scored but he has been leading the team. He will score when it matters the most. I am just waiting for them to RAYPPPPE mexico on sunday. |

i hope so. milito's face when palermo scored that goal against greece was not one of happiness. you never know the drama that's going on. |

zanetti is 2 yrs older than veron.
zanetti playes along side materazzi, samuel, da silva, chivo among others who are amazing players. he doesn't have to make that big of an effort when he's playing next to weaker defensemen.
another point is that samuel might be playing against mexico so i guess that will make up for zanetti in a way as they play together at inter.
i'm not entirely sure veron played a terrible game against nigeria, i mean he did make the corner pass to heinze for him to score the only goal.........:toothless
in any case, ARGENTINA CAMPEON!!!!!! VAMOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
i still think the final of this world cup should be Brasil vs Argentina...of course Argentina beating Brasil 2 - 0. 1st goal by messi and the 2nd by none other than el apacheeeeeee!!! vamos tevez!! grande!! |

villa maravilla! him, xavi, iniesta and messi on barca next year is going to be unfair to the rest of the world.
