I say Florida wins by at least 10 but the game itself will be an easier win, if that makes sense.
Tech v. Tech will be great, but Va. Tech will win. I was really lookin forward to the Tenn/LSU game because I wanted to see Fatty Fulmer lose again, but I will have to wait til Monday. Sad that up here in Canada we don't get it :( |

I was actually on the side right behind Herbstedt so when the camera was onhim, you could see my flag waving in the back.
ESPN College Gameday was a lot of fun though, we kept shouting "CORSO SUCKS" so he would know that he sucks. We sociacalized and made fun of the Georgia Tech crowd.
Amazing win for Wisocnsin, though i bet UWM is happy as a lark in a tree. |

No worries. I taped the show this morning so I can always look back and see my flag, hehe
Besides there was a hell of a lot people there. And also another thing that sucks is that nothing with a pole was allowed in the direct area behind Lee, Mark and Kirk. all those signs you see behind them are just homemade signs held up by fans.
All the fans with flags, posters on poles, dolls, miscellaneous stuff on poles and/or sticks had to stay on the sides or way in the back.
they had the whole middle section cordoned off. |

Ok, so I'll do the Big Ten wrap up.
Ohio State crushed Iowa 31-6 today. Impressive victory, but still imperfect for Ohio State; They lost 2 fumbles inside Iowa's ten in the first half and a penalty negated a Ted Ginn punt return for a touchdown. The Buckeye defense held Iowa to -9 rushing yards, and Troy Smith accounted fpr over 300 yards of offense (191P, 127R). Antonio Pittman added 171 yards rushing for the Buckeyes, who are off next week while Iowa hosts Illionis.
Wisonsin and Michigan was a down to the wire game that ended with the unranked Badgers stunning Michigan, at home in Madison. A back and forth game, Michigan took the lead with under two minutes left on a Chad Henne touchdown pass, but John Stocko scored on a 3rd and goal quarterback draw to reclaim the lead and win for the Badgers. Michigan faces yet another tough test when #17 Michigan State comes to the town as the undefeated (and presumably to-be-ranked) Badgers take on visiting Indiana.
Minnesota stunned #11 Purdue in a battle of undefeateds, double overtime thriller. Laurence Maroney ran for 217 yards, but the Gophers trailed late until a Bryan Cupito touchdown pass tied things up. Minnesota then outlasted the Boilermakers in overtime scoring for coach Glenn Mason's first win against the Indiana school oft toted as the team with a downhill path to the Big Ten title (if you don't know, Purdue plays neither Ohio State or Michigan). The story of this game was 3rd down, Purdue went 4/15 on 3rd down tries.
Michigan State did everything a top team can do in beating Illinois today 61-14. The Illini looked pathetic in their homecoming game after taking #15 Cal to the limit last week while the Spartans, the nation's 4th-ranked offense, racked up over 700 yard of total offense. The Illini turned two trips into MSUs red zone into a couple of touchdowns, but Michigan State reeled off 49 unanswered points in between Illini scores. Illini coach Ron Zook formally apologized to Illinois fans after the loss.
Joe Pa is 4-0. Penn State won a wild one today 34-29 in Evanston. With three lead changes in the final quarter, quarterback Michael Robinson connected with Derrick Williams over 36 yards for the score and win. Northwestern took the lead with under three minutes to play on a field goal, after Penn State took the lead with about 10 minutes left in the game. Northwestern hosts Wisonsin next week while Penn State brings Minnesota into town.
The Big Ten is quite a topsy turvy conference. Michigan State and Iowa have both lost 2, including one in the conference. Meanwhile Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota and Penn State and Indiana (3-0, 0-0)are all undefeated. Ohio State remains undefeated in the conference but even with a non-conference loss, they remain the highest ranked in the Big Ten.
Would've loved to see Orgon pull it out, but they couldn't keep USC's offense off the field.
VT game was amazing...the Hokies certainly have to be considered title candidates. Florida won predictably, and im pulling for Tennesee on monday. Louisville proved they weren't ready for the Big time...I don't think theyll be top 20 next week. Georgia looks beatable, but Michigan State looks like a nice dark horse pick. Miami looked a bit sloppy against Colorado, Virginia may be a rpoblem for ACC teams looking past them; they won big today, albeit against Duke. |
