As of right now, USC has only played 4 teams that currently have winning records (Oregon, Notre Dame, Cal, Fresno). Of those, neither Oregon or Cal played anyone worth a rat's ass in their out of conference schedule and Notre Dame is over-rated as always. Notre Dame lost to a 5-6 Michigan State team and should have lost to Michigan. Besides those two and USC, Notre Dame played no one either. Notre Dame's opponent W/L is 57-59. And well, Fesno St. is a WAC team.

I'm an Ohio State fan and a Big Ten fan, I'll admit that, but I think that the fact that no Big Ten team has schedule ranking under 20 speaks volumes about the conference. When Ohio State's opponent's W/L is 70-49, you know they're playing some real teams. Out of the 11 teams they've played, only 4 have losing records.

I guess what I'm trying to say (long windedly) is that USC plays in a conference that does not schedule tough non-conference teams and hardly makes for noteworthy games when USC plays in-conference.

My top ten would be:

Texas
Penn State
LSU
Virginia Tech
USC
Ohio State
Miami
Notre Dame
Oregon
West Virginia

Great job by Miami to give up their spot in the ACC title game and BCS bowl for Va. Tech. Very nice of them :)

I was really cheering hard for Fresno St. there to clip USC, but it looks more and more like USC V. Texas. UCLA has no shot at USC and Texas will roll in the Big 12 game.

The Ohio St. game was pretty good. We didn't get coverage of Penn St. or the Miami game here. Nor the V.Tech/Virginia game, but that field spray painting is awesome! My hopes for the Big East championship with S.Florida and W.Virg is still alive! Again, the At-Large bids are still up in the air, with the only spot guaranteed for Notre Dame (unless a building falls on Brady Quinn before Stanford). As for this upcoming week, GO GATORS!!!

On another topic, congrats to the TEMPLE OWLS for an outstanding season! Not only did you get yourselves kicked out of a conference for sucking last year (and out of the Big East no less, if i remember correctly) but you manage to go 0 for the season with no hard conference schedule and the likes of Toledo, Western Michigan and Navy on the calendar. Why you would schedule Miami, Clemson and Wisconsin when you were horrible last year, I have no idea. Here's to you and I hope you go 0-11 again next year :D

Updated Bowl Predictions:
Rose Bowl: USC (BCS No.1) Vs Texas (BCS No.2)
Fiesta Bowl: Penn St. (Big Ten Champs) Vs Notre Dame (BCS At-Large)
Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech (ACC Champs) Vs LSU (BCS At-Large)
Sugar Bowl: Georgia (SEC Champs) Vs South Florida (Big East Champs)

Oh yeah, one more thing... hey Vols... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! GO VANDY!!! Enjoy your no-bowl offseason! F**K YOU FULMER!!!

what makes you think colorado doesn't have a chance against them ? mac brown is known for choking the big chicken .. he could against the aggies ? they do have some talent on their defensive side of the field ..

however, colorado must win against nebraska .. if they lose , they lose the tie breaker to iowa state, who beat them last week . iowa state needs to complete their deal, and beat kansas ...

anything can happen in the big12 .. hahaha

The fact that a 7-4 Michigan team is ranked #9 in the Sagarin ratings makes me question his method. That is beyond ridiculous.

that strength of schedule factor and # of teams played against in the top 30 really helps their ranking ... :(

Say Texas SOMEHOW does lose in the Big12 Championship game... remember when Kansas St. beat Oklahoma? Deja Vu all over again if they do lose. But even if Mack Brown chokes, Vince Young won't.

The fact that Sagarin is from Indiana (Big 10 country) makes me think there are some biases in his system.

Yeah but Oregon wasn't ranked #8 and Notre Dame wasn't ranked #6 when they played USC. I think Notre Dame was #12 and Oregon was #22 or something.
