I'm a little shocked that the outcome was this harsh. I didn't expect Vick to be permanently suspended, but still what he did to Dumervil shouldn't have gone unpunished.
Vick has been immature in the past, with his legal infractions, but I thought he really pulled himself together this season. It's unfortunate that this happened. |
i think frank beamer is trying to make a statement that he is trying to keep his team clean from legal infractions, small or large .
there has to be something else furthur behind the doors that caused beamer to kick out vick. but how about vick joining virginia commonwealth, and turning them into a national powerhouse .. :wtf: ..
i wouldn't be surprised if vick tests the pro waters in april after this incident . |

One problem, VCU doesn't have a football team. He could go to JMU though. |

| Vick was kicked off the team, not out of school. I doubt he would just pack up and leave to go to a different school. He's a junior now. He'll probably just finish school and think about what might have been. |

oh well .. forget school .
reports are out that vick is entering the draft .
who wants to put money that he is going to be a bust in the nfl ? linebackers are going to eat him alive for lunch and dinner every sunday , if he can make the cut on a nfl squad . |

| He decided that he is going pro. It will be interesting to see what happens. If he gets drafted I think it will be sometime during the second day of the draft (rounds 4-7). He is a long, long way from being a starter or even a backup in the NFL. He has a better arm than Michael, and he is bigger and stronger. He is a little slower but he is still faster than most QBs (4.28 vs. Michael's 4.25). His accuracy has improved somewhat over the season, and with NFL-caliber receivers that can make great plays his stats should improve as well. Whatever team drafts him should put him in NFL Europe for a few years so he can work on his decision making. I think that's the way NFL Europe works, I think you still have your rights tied to a regular NFL team. |

This reminds me of FSU QB Adrian McPherson. McPherson was kicked off the FSU team for forging a check and there were also some allegations of gambling. He was drafted by the Saints this past year in the 5th round and he played pretty well in the Arena League. He may play in NFL Europe next year or if he works hard enough in the off-season he may end up on the Saints. |

| You're probably right, Dave. I just heard about his decision a moment ago on newsradio. |

I remember him he has no where near the talent and potential that Vick has though |

Newsradio was cancelled like 10 years ago. And Phil Hartman died. :( |

Yeah he got shot in the head by his wife.
Well when I say News Radio I really mean www.wtopnews.com, which is on the radio. |

| mcpherson is a pretty good qb . i saw him run a couple of drives during preseason last year, and he had his obvious rookie mistakes, but he knew when trouble was coming, and knowing how to scramble out of trouble. i don't know if the saints will keep him , or if he wants to be with the team with the decreases amount of payroll for next year . but i think mcpherson could be a solid qb for a promising team (aka saints .. ) . i don't know what to think about the saints offense right now. we could point the finger at brooks or the off coordinator (rick venturi) , who i think is a bonehead. but that's just my opinion. |
