| i'm new to tranceaddict and dindnt even know that they had a sports section. i'm so enthusiastic because i just got done looking at schedules and then stumbled onto this thread... sorry for being belligerent (spelling?) but this is an exciting subject for me. we will c what happens.. i wish va tech the best of luck ~ who knows psu could end up playin them... i picked vtech and georgia to go all the way halfway through the season.. vtech is a great team dont get me wrong... |

rose: usc vs texas
orange: miami vs psu (in flordia uh oh...)
sugar: west virginia??? vs alabama
fiesta: oregona vs notre dame
i had to type the bcs bowl predictions cuz there was too many icons the non bcs were copied and pasted..

Penn State still has to beat Michigan State. Sure they have a bye week, and Michigan State is limping but Stanton is still a tough quarterback and the Spartans have the ability to light up the scoreboard. With the way Penn State played against Wisconsin, it's tough to say they'll lose, but looking past this game is a big no-no for the Nittany Lions.
Since everyone else is passing out bowl predicitons, here are mine:
Rose Bowl - Alabama vs Texas
Sugar - South Florida/West Virginia vs. Miami
Orange - USC vs Penn State
Fiesta - Ohio State vs Notre Dame
Im really pulling for the Cavaliers when they host the Hokies. Im a Buckeye fan first, but I've definitely got a soft spot for UVA |

I like Penn State too, but them being in the Top 4 doesn't mean anything. Unless you're 1 or 2, it doesn't matter what you are, you are just guaranteed a bowl game if you're Big 10 champ. USC and Texas will not lose. And I don't think the Fiesta Bowl will give up the Big 10 champ if it is Penn St. and then they won't miss the opportunity to have a historic matchup with ND, hence my predictions. Plus I think those two teams are very evenly matched. It's weird that CBS predicted that the Fiesta bowl would be comprised of 2 At-large teams because usually the BCS bowls get at least 1 league winner and is sorted by location (ie. Sugar = SEC champ, Orange = ACC champ) unless that bowl has the Championship game.
I'm not a West Virginia fan because they rolled Louisville and I like them, but damn, if South Florida takes WV's spot in a BCS bowl, ugh! Please remove the automatic bid from the Big East!! Disgusting, that conference! |
