Come on South Florida!!! I really have no idea why I'm rooting for them, I just like the fact that these two are hopefully going to meet on the last week of the season for the BCS bid :) |

I had no idea that we gave WVU their only loss. If there is any hope of us moving to #3 in the BCS waiting for a USC or Texas slip up, then I guess I have to root for WVU to keep winning. I'm not happy about that. |

South Florida lost today to Connecticut, 15-10, in the coldest weather the team has ever played in. As a result, West Virginia has won the Big East, regardless of who wins next week in the USF/WVA game.
Florida destroyed Florida State 34-7 and Miami held off Virginia today 25-17. Hagans blew the game for the Cavaliers while Leak and the Gators never gave the Seminoles a chance.
Notre Dame scored on their second play from scrimmage and are up early, 7-0 Pretty good game as we get into it though. Tied 14-14 at half with stanford's front 7 having their way with the Irish's offensive line.
Texas will play Colorado again in the big 12 Championship after Iowa State fell to Kansas today, who themselves become bowl eligible. You may remember that the Longhorns drilled the Buffaloes 42-17 earlier this year.
Here's a review of the conference champions (BCS bid receivers)if anyone needs it:
ACC : Virginia Tech or Mimai/Florida St.
Big East : West Virginia
Big Ten : Penn State
Big Twelve : Texas/Colorado
Pac Ten : USC / UCLA
SEC : Georgia/Louisiana St.
________________________________
Conference USA : University of Central Florida/Tulsa
Mid American Conference: Northern Illinois / Akron
Mountain West : Texas Christian University
Sun Belt : Arkansas State
Western Athletic Conference : Boise St./Fresno St./Nevada (possible three-way tie; does Boise State win by virtue of finishing 9-3 as opposed to 8-3?) |

PSU is the only team worthy of the national title.
it seems like all the "contenders" keep choking up...
these "contenders" pull wins out of their asses at the last second...
the national title is ours.
PENN STATE OWNS ALL OF YOUR ASSES!
love,
bisco
ps. usc loses to ucla and/or texas loses to colarado (CONFIRMED) |

| I still don't understand why Florida State is in the ACC Championship game as opposed to Boston College. Boston has a bettet standing (8-3) vs. FSU (7-4). Florida State beat BC, but Boston College has a better record. |

Florida State beat BC, and they have identical conference records. When deciding conference champions and championship game participants, only the conference records count.
And disco, I love penn state, but please give some kind of reasoning when you say USC or Texas will lose. Keep in mind that the "contenders", as you say, have yet to lose, while Penn State lost to a 4-loss Michigan team in an embarassing fashion. |

| Sucks for BC. I think they are more deserving of playing for the championship than Florida State. |

If that were true, the Golden Eagles would have beaten them :p
I'm a fan of rotating the divisions, either randomly or on a schedule so that different teams play every year. |

Yes the Golden Gopher's record was 7-4 making them bowl elgible. 6 wins is required to make a bowl, 9 wins for BCS eligibility.
They're talking about Miami-Louisville, though the loser of VT/FSU or Boston College could take Miami's place. |

Speaking of Fresno St.... losing to Nevada doesn't look good. Possible USC hangover??
Good ol' Florida pounding on the losers from Tallahassee. Enjoy getting rolled by Miami.
Damn South Florida spoiling any chance of making the Big East interesting.
Great SEC Championship coming up. I still pick Georgia to win and go to the Sugar Bowl.
Discobiscuit, I'm thinking like Tribu. I really like PSU, but your comments just don't make any sense. How does 2 undefeated teams not be deserving of the national championship but a one-loss team does? Because Texas and USC pull out the last second, last minute victories that PSU couldn't against Michigan? If they lose their last regular season games, then ok... but you're just not making any sense.
Updated bowl predictions:
Rose Bowl: USC (BCS No.1) Vs Texas (BCS No.2)
Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State (BCS At-large) Vs Notre Dame (BCS At-Large)
Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech (ACC Champs) Vs Penn State (Big 10 Champs)
Sugar Bowl: Georgia (SEC Champs) Vs West Virginia (Big East Champs) |
