That's pretty much what I have been seeing online and on TV, except most people have LSU winning the SEC and landing in the Sugar Bowl. I've seen a few PSU vs. ND in the Fiesta Bowl predictions with Tech vs. OSU in the Orange (mostly from fans, not sportswriters), but the only way that happens is if there is a deal behind the scenes between the Fiesta and Orange committees. The Fiesta Bowl will most likely take Notre Dame, and if I were them I would too because ND = $$$$$$$$. The Orange would then take PSU. Then the Fiesta has an interesting choice: does it take OSU (who would be making their 3rd appearance in the Fiesta Bowl in 4 years) or do they go with Oregon whose only loss was to USC? I would rather see what Oregon can do, but they will most likely follow the dollar signs again and pick OSU. |

After looking at the latest BCS standings, if Texas or USC lose, then Penn St. has a legitimate reason to worry about getting jumped.
Penn State (10-1), done for the season
BCS avg: .8900 (3rd)
Harris %: .883 (4th)
USA Today %: .867 (4th)
Computer avg: .920 (3rd)
Record against currently ranked teams: 2-1
Lost to Michigan (BCS rank 22, record 7-4)
LSU (9-1), plays Arkansas and possibly SEC title game against Georgia
BCS avg: .8372 (4th)
Harris %: .899 (3rd)
USA Today %: .913 (3rd)
Computer avg: .700 (8th) - I didn't know until today that they scheduled a 1-AA, that could be enough to keep them out of the title race if even if they win out.
Record against currently ranked teams: 3-0
Lost to Tennessee (unranked, record 4-6)
Virginia Tech (9-1), plays UNC and possibly ACC title game against FSU
BCS avg: .8294 (5th)
Harris %: .794 (6th)
USA Today %: .824 (5th)
Computer avg: .870 (4th)
Record against currently ranked teams: 3-1
Lost to Miami (BCS rank 9, record 8-2)
If LSU or Tech keep winning and win big, then it's very possible we might be seeing some leapfrogging. The BCS committee better pray USC and Texas finish undefeated or else we could see chaos again. |

I've been saying that the SEC championship game is going to be unreal. But I've stuck with Georgia beating LSU. What does everyone else think? I know LSU has great defence, but I just feel that Shockley will outduel Russell... at least for this year.
Either way it falls, I think all the BCS bowls will have some wikkid and interesting matchups. |

I think anything is possible, but LSU has been hot as of late.
And yeah, the BCS matchups will be great. For those wanting to see PSU vs. ND don't have to wait long if they don't meet in a BCS bowl because they will play in September next season. |

I think no for both :)
If you look at the bowl predictions on CBSSports.com, there are some great bowl matchups that could happen OUTSIDE the BCS. For instance, Auburn/Ohio St., Wisc/Georgia, FSU/SC... I am really looking forward to this year's bowl games, especially with the ones on the 2nd... perfect for after NYE festivities. |

Wilbon's an idiot. We had two season where we sucked in November and that's it. We won the ACC last year and we're on our way to the championship game this year, so Wilbon can eat my ass. Kornheiser is better anyway. |

i respect their opinions, and wilbon makes some good comments now and again . kornheiser looks like a veteran pro of the journalism industry everytime i see him on tv .. this guy knows his stuff, and always has his facts and figures ready in front of him before airtime .
anyways ...
"kornheisier + wilbon" > "skip bayless and woody paige" * 10000000
bayless and paige are jokes . |

I've always liked Woody Paige just because he is so out there. I used to hate Skip, but I've come around to like them. Watching 1st and 10, Around the Horn, and PTI every weekday gets kind of repetitive though because they all talk about the same topics and in all of those shows they decide behind the scenes which person is going to argue for which side. Some of it seems too fake, but I enjoy those shows anyway. I like Around the Horn the best out of the three, with PTI second but only if Kornheiser and Wilbon are on. I hate when they have subs. |

Backyard Brawl yesterday with W. Virginia coming out on top of Pittsburgh 45-13. I say again that WVU will win the big east.
And I rarely put any substance into shows like Around the Horn, Pardon the Interruption, Cold Pizza and stuff like that, because it's predictable squabble. The guys figure out what they're going to argue about before the show. It's all inticement.

People just like to give Virginia Tech a hard time. Thing is, Kornheiser writes for the Washington Post and he's usually pro-VT in his columns. He rags on Ralph Friedgen and the Terps all the time, which i find quite humorous. |
