Depending on who the at-large is, PSU could be set up with a good game, but i think they'll draw LSU or Georgia which should also be quality opponents. I think the two at-large teams will get each other, though I'd love for Notre Dame to be left out of the BCS picture; I just dont think they've played well enough to get in as a two-loss team. I think Ohio State and Alabama are looking like excellent at-large teams right now, depending on the outcome of final games, of course. Notre Dame is almost a BCS lock if they are eligible though :\ |
For the sake of the Big East, I hope West Virginia goes into its last game with W.Virg at 6-0 and USF at 5-1. Only way that game will be intriguing. And it'll be for the right to play Miami in the Orange Bowl or maybe the Sugar Bowl. I choose South Florida to win actually because they did rip apart the Cardinals earlier this year and there's something about the Mountaineers I don't like. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope the game is televised hahaha
I love Notre Dame, Weis and Quinn so I most certainly hope they finish strong and keep their spot in the BCS. I would agree that Ohio State has done more as a 2-loss team, but Alabama as a one-loss team hasn't in my opinion. They are playing themselves right out of contention after my Gators broke Prothro's leg (hope you enjoyed your win over us hahaha). I think Auburn will pick them off also which will leave us with an EPIC SEC title game in Georgia V LSU for the right to play in the Sugar Bowl. Shockley V Russell... gotta go Shockley.
My bowl predictions are now:
Rose Bowl: USC (BCS No.1) Vs Texas (BCS No.2)
Fiesta Bowl: Penn St. (Big Ten Champs) Vs Notre Dame (BCS At-Large)
Orange Bowl: Miami (ACC Champs) Vs LSU (BCS At-Large)
Sugar Bowl: Georgia (SEC Champs) Vs South Florida (Big East Champs)

Rose Bowl : Texas (Big 12 Champs) at USC (PAC-10 Champs)
Orange Bowl: Miami (ACC Champs) at South Florida (Big East Champs)
Fiesta Bowl: Notre Dame (Independant At-Large) at Ohio State (Big 10 Champs)
Sugar Bowl: Louisiana State University(SEC Champs) vs. Virginia Tech (ACC At-Large)
Total schlock, but someone has to pick a plate full of upsets :p
You can probably substitute Penn State as Big 10 champs and OSU as an at large for the Hokies :D |

Ohio State won at Michigan in a thriller today, ensuring at least a share of the big Ten title. It was a great game, with Ohio State scoring two touchdowns in the last 4 minutes to win it.
Otherwise, it looks like things are pretty much falling into place as they have been. Virginia Tech destroyed the Cavaliers today, which was kind of a disapointment for me. |
