Although, I've never asked anybody to stop wearing perfume, and I probably will not, I actually used to have asthma attacks as a kid due to extremely strong perfumes. My aunt changed her perfume, voluntarily, because it would set me off every time we spent time together. Good thing she lived in England and only visited every couple of years! |

So with this logic we should start blaming everyone who drives a large vehicle that consumes lots of gas for rising prices at the pumps because they are using more gas than everybody else? |

actually, scent free work places etc..are very common...i'm not sure how it translates to somewhere like a plane..but i'm unable to even wash my hair with heavily perfumed shampoos and go to work..many of the workshops, conferences etc..that I attend are advertised as scent free...it's just the norm now... |

No, because those people are PAYING for the extra gas. IF they paid for 5 liters, and got 7, then yes, there would be a problem. But they are paying for 5, and getting 5, how ever much they use is up to them. So to relate it to this case, the fatties are paying for 1, but getting 2 seats.
Holy moly, I have stayed out of this thread so far, but this took the cake. |

Yes but everyone is paying the same price per litre though. So its generally all the same price.
Also...people who drive bigger vehicles and use more gas are causing it to run out more quickly so in-turn they are causing price per litre to go up for everyone else...can you comprehend that? |

They influence demand, everyone influences demand. The issue is that the gas guzzlers are getting what they pay for, and the fatties are getting more than what they pay for. |

They are not getting more of anything? How do you not see that? They are only filling out what more space they have anyway so how are they benefiting in any way over you? You fill out one seat and they fill out two. How do they have the upper hand? |

Airlines charge based on how many seats you buy, not the space you actually take up. |
