for sakes skipper just because your moms a whale doesnt mean you have to jump into battle to protect every obese person. There is something you can do about obesity. Just like ppl who get diabetes later on in life, mt father included, its his own fault he had a lazy lifestyle and didnt watch what he ate.
I have no sympathy for his diabetes. it was self induced. |

being obese is not a disease....it may be a disability. There are millions of examples of people causing their own disability.
How about we just make it simple for everyone and nobody gets special treatment.....even if you have an iron lung.

nope.
Should an airline company loose money they would have otherwise received based on the self-induced disease, obesity?
it is by no means the airline's fault. so why should they have to loose money? |

I would agree that being obese could be considered a disease when it starts to affect your well being however; being obese doesn't necessarily mean you have a disease. |

I disagree...obesity is only associated with various diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus type 2, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. But I dont believe that obesity is a disease in itself. |

What about every company that has to install wheelchair accessibility? They have incurred costs in order to accomodate people in wheelchairs...and by law they have to accomodate these people. |
