i dunno why people in wheelchairs being compared to fat people here....fatness is reversible....even if for the sake of argument we say it is a "disability" ..it is not permanent..you have options to change it..a person who can no longer walk does not have the option of taking steps to one day be able to walk..i'm sure if they had options they would do ANYTHING to be able to walk again..
ing utter bull to compare fat people who have the ability and free will to change their circumstance to, people who will NEVER be able to change theirs (unless science finds a solution)

yes...but the comparison is with regard to making choices that put you in a position of being disabled....so what you said above really means squat.
Like I said.....nobody should get special treatment...lets just treat everyone equal.

i think you are not looking at the whole picture here Katy. this would probably only happen like 3 times a year in total where a fat person would take up two seats. it's not like every flight is going to have to deal with this on a regular basis. it's a very small percentage. they aren't going to be losing thousands of dollars. probably the flight wouldn't even be full anyways.

If you look at large planes doing ultra long haul flying, even 1% of the passengers being fatties would be a huge cost. The amount of extra fuel you have to carry, and then use to fly their extra weight around is a lot more than you'd think.
