It may not concern you, but i consider democracy an important institution. |
Like I've said before, if you're convinced we don't have one here, then move.
You're worse than someone who complains about someone they voted for. |

Generally the consumer does, and that drives product development and adaptation.
Not so with airlines. Malek's got a really good point. |
Isn't that even the whole point of this thread? Since these "eligable" consumers consist of such a miniscule minority, "general" consumers demand that one person needs one seat for a flight. Why should the Supreme Court be dictating policy over consumers? |

Dont put words in my mouth. We obviously have a democracy. What i am worried about is how we chip away at it constantly because one day we will wake up and there wont be a democracy in canada. If you dont want to defend our democracy, i will ask you to move to a place where you dont have to. But trust me, in cuba or north korea you wouldnt have the freedom to complain about living down the street from comfort zone like you do here. |

You're the one complaining all the time about how our country is governed.
There are plenty of other democratic countries you could live in - or are they all saddled with the same issues as we have here?
I live here because we have a democracy and I can complain about the zone if I want to. I do not feel that allowing overweight people to have 2 seats on a plane jeopardizes that, obviously. |

No, but having court imposed laws does jeopardize that.
As i said. If you dont feel democracy is worth defending then dont live in one. If you do, then concern yourself with those who are trying to whittle it away in the name of whatever cause they feel justifies it. If you havnt already noticed, my complaints are almost always about people who would see fit to take away my freedoms and choices. They are quite consistent. |

not to mention the little snot nose kids....seriously....kids should not be allowed on a plane until they at least 10 years old. |
I wish they would stick all the passengers with little kids together in the back and not disperse them among the ing plane. I swear every long haul flight I get on is plagged with screaming brats. No one wants to listen to 12 hours of "WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! WAHHHHHHH!!! WAHHHHH!!!" with nowhere to go. |

Not a bad idea actually. Like the old smoking sections? A 'family' section. |

Exactly! It's not like it would be an inconvenience to other passengers as no one really likes sitting in the back anyways and plus they can be near the bathrooms! It wouldn't cost airlines anything to do this and would be so much nicer for the hundreds of other passengers who won't have to listen to screaming the entire flight.
The only thing I could see parents complaining about is having to haul their kiddos all the way to the back of a plane but pre-boarding makes that much easier and if you don't make the pre-boarding call well too bad so sad. |

| ^^You are just upset because of the fat bashing. The child/family section idea is actually really good. Everybody wins! |

Somebody had to speak the truth.
Nobody likes screaming children, not even their own parents. However segregating families is unacceptable !!! besides, anyone on a plane has potential to be JUST as annoying for any number of reasons. Flying coach usually sucks...especially if you choose a budget airline.
May I suggest a mixture of johnny walker and formula 44D with the first meal to ensure a smooth quiet flight for everyone involved ??? |
