Galaxy Nexus (coming to Canada sometime in November)
Same as the Motorola Droid RAZR.
It just sucks that Samsung messed up on their own processors and they will only be ready for the 1Q12. Plus the NVIDIA Tegra 3 only coming out for a tablet next month and won't be in mobile phones until sometime next year.
I will still get the new Nexus, but I will change if Google-Samsung changes the processor by March. I still don't know why, they didn't just have an 8GB rom and SD-card slot. Just like the new iPhone, this is under clocked by like 25%. People are bitching about the 5MP camera, guess we will have to take photos with the Droid RAZR, Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4S to see which one is better.
It has some cool stuff but the specs are definitely lower than they should be for the front line Android phone and whats coming onto the market these days. The Galaxy S2 LTE beats this easily. I'll probably still grab it too as I've done the iPhone for awhile and need a change.
It will be interesting to see what Google releases with Motorola for a future Nexus phone now that they own them. You have to somewhat believe they'll be putting substantial effort into a flagship model to directly compete with the iPhone now that they have full control over the hardware and software. You don't drop 12.5 billion just for s and giggles that's for sure.

What is interesting, my Nexus One running 2.3.6 beats the Nexus S in some categories and it is an older phone :crazy:
Thing is, this phone is severely handicapped against the iPhone 4S. Maybe with ICS it will help make the processor and everything else run smoother so it can compete, guess we can only wait and see when someone tests it out with the GLBenchmark.

The Face Unlock is just like HAL, it doesn't want to unlock :haha:
The photo quality seems pretty good, the camera speed with zero-lag for the shutter is amazing, plus they have their own instagram feature built into the phone, but the video quality seems to die for :eyespop:
It is nice that you can decline a call and send an sms saying "you will call back" at the same time, while you decline.

I upgraded my Galaxy S to an S II the other night. Loving it. Also got a better phone plan at the suggestion of the sales guy - again, more savings from the Bell peeps!

Sorry, how is the the new phone severely handicapped compared to the new iphone? Faster processor, more RAM, faster network connection options, NFC...
I think Ice Cream Sandwich (hate the name), is amazing! So many added features which will make it more usable, and functional.

Don't like some of those preloaded carrier apps? Disable 'em. Android Engineer Dan Morrill mentions that, among other new features, any app can be disabled, and while it will still take up space in ROM, it won't be snatching any of your precious resources or clock cycles again if you don't want it to.

People need to look more at the performance than what is on paper and . Some of the specs I can't really find detail and what not, like the Mali-400MP and Adreno 220.
One thing at least the specs on the Galaxy Nexus can tell those people that like their Galaxy SII to STFU.
One thing the 5 MP camera on this phone is amazing though.
Don't get me wrong, I will still be getting the Galaxy Nexus :D We are just 2-6 months away from most phones having 2-core GPUs and by the end of 2012, most new phones with have 4-core GPUs :crazy:

iPhone beats it in actual performance and the Galaxy S2 HD LTE (soon to be released) beats it in specs. I still think they should've done more but ah well what can ya do...

I still don't understand why they couldn't use the Exynos or did Google tell Samsung go with the OMAP or did Texas Instruments pay Samsung-Google a pretty penny to put the OMAP in the Galaxy Nexus. Now that is one thing I would like to know.
Anyways we still have a few weeks before the phone comes out, not sure if Google will be releasing more info on the new OS or if they have other apps coming out and what not.

I am quite sure its due to a shortage of the Exynos processors. Samsung was forced to release Galaxy S2s running Tegra 2 chipsets because they couldn't keep up with the demand I believe.
