Hey guys, I was trying to set up my lil cousin's tablets and it asked my gmails.
I tried creating them each their own GMAIL and it gave me some bull about them being too young. Now, I could obviously lie and say they'e older (above 13), but I wanted them to have their own going forward with accurate information.
Now, that being said... Could I generate them a shared email, lie on the age etc, but use that shared email to set up and use the app store on both? |

I use the same account on all my devices (5 of them).
The only thing gives trouble are things like Netflix, or other apps that have a device limit. You can usually login to the site for the service, and de-authorise devices if you ever get stuck. |

WOOOP! I got it! YAY!
So, now some questions...
1. Does it usually take that long to charge?
2. Does the battery drop that quickly? Or am I just powerusing as it's new to me?
3. Can I make sound profiles like I had on my BlackBerry? ie. quiet, medium, loud, custom (where certain apps make noise, others do not, different volumes and vibrations for each for various times? I used to have a work, home and club profile where each one had a different set of sounds or vibrations depending on locations)
4. Calls only profile? Where my phone won't make any noises besides a phone call? I use this for sleeping when I can't be bothered by txts or emails or notifications, but need to have the phone audible so that I could hear in case of emergency.
5. Is there any type of contact manager, or just basically what you have from GMail address book? Also, Facebook integration to your contact list? Seems so different to not have the contact pictures anymore.
6. Password or lock screen? Pattern lock? What's the best app for security?
7. Where can you get more live wallpaper?
8. How to get my pictures to go directly to a cloud? I don't want to use the Picasa, Facebook or Google+ personally (Unless one of them is better and I don't know why, please inform me). I was hoping it would go directly into a Google Drive folder or something.
Also, what are the must have apps or tricks? Looking at that swiftkey, already have Airdroid. Some games and some familiar apps like Ubertwitter (Is there a better one?) and Shazam. What can I do to get the most out of it?
Need decent notepad apps, QR code app, sports apps (Hockey, football (soccer), F1), etc...
Also, what else inergrates with Chrome? I remember seeing a extension that would send a link or pic to your device from in side Chrome using right click? Any other cool apps that work like that or with Chrome?
And what about a forum reader? |

Ok, how do my contacts work? All this syncing and stuff?
It shows my FB contacts synced, but no pictures are imported, I can see my skype contacts synced and they went to my pictures for contacts. If I go to PEOPLE, then chose only to look at my Facebook contacts, I see no contacts and only me in there.
Is everyone using stock JB features, or using other apps for SMS/TXT and Contacts etc?
And do I have install codecs or something on my phone to play XVID and other videos? |

OK... still loving the Droid experience, just a few more questions.
1) Sound profiles, looked for apps, google'd them, but can't find the one I want, or will do what I want. I want to essentially create or have multiple sound profiles that I can switch thru with ease when desired. Ie. I can set up all my sounds now for each contact, app, notification etc... but I want to switch to another setup when I want. Mainly, phone calls only at night, with specific rings for certain people.
2) When I make calls, the screen goes dark or off, I'm assuming this is because it doesn't want to be affected to disturbed by touching your ear or face. But this feature seeps to be sporadic, I test it holding it and the screen stays, but other times I have no way to turn the screen back on to either hang up the call, or use the keypad to punch in extensions or respond to IVR queries. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
3) Why would I want to "root" my device? What world does this open up for me?
4) Is there an all in one intergrated messaging system? ie. SMS, FB, WhatsApp etc? Or are they mostly all separate apps? Anyone have a fav or suggested SMS app, I am using GOSMS which is nice but alot of bloatware and ads in it, seems like paying for it only gives you more bull with the app.

to xda or android central and ask. there are enough users to give you a good idea of what the best apps are.

was trying to figure that out when I did the switch but alas unlike BB, you cannot set sounds/light notification for everything that has notification and therefore you can't do sound profiles. :(

I've been told many reasons but the one reason I would like to root my phone eventually is to use the phone as a host for usb devices such as a thumb drive.

Has to be a way to have only phone calls come through... I need something for night time when sleeping to allow for emergency calls. I will find something!!!!

Nexus 4... it only happens once in a while, like today, click the phone number from contacts, the phone started dialing but the screen went black and I could't do anything till the other person hungup. Made a call to my buddy earlier and it went to VM, couldn't see the screen, had to power off to stop it from leaving a 5min voicemail of nothing. I tried to replicate the problems, works fine... weird. I read somewhere to just "swipe" but either gestures of swipe, top to bottom, side to side, vicaversa, etc... won't do anything, the screen may flicker quickly, but can't do anything.
