the screen turning off and on is done by your light sensor. when you put it up to your ear, you cover it and the screen turns off. when you take it away, it senses the light and should turn back on.

do you have a screen protector or case that is partially covering it? otherwise i don't know but it might have something to do with that sensor.

oh and another thing. if you want custom light notifications, there's an app called LightFlow which lets you customize almost an notification from any app. but it requires root.

Screen protector, but it's clear of the sensor, did some tests and it seems like it's that. Just need to try to keep an eye on it. Is there a way to force it back on?

The Cyanogenmod ROM has profiles built in. Custom LED colours for different notifications too.

You can also use Llama Location Profiles if you want. It's automated (but also allows for manual control), so if you're at work you can tell it to go silent. When you're at home it can change to loud. There's also features like enabling/disabling the lock screen depending on your location, and many more.

4) Is there an all in one intergrated messaging system? ie. SMS, FB, WhatsApp etc? Or are they mostly all separate apps? Anyone have a fav or suggested SMS app, I am using GOSMS which is nice but alot of bloatware and ads in it, seems like paying for it only gives you more bull with the app.

I've been using Pansi SMS for a year now. It's not integrated, but it's the best texting app in my opinion.

Looks like something I can use! I like how customizable the Llama app is, maybe too customizable, but the fact that it knows which WIFI it's on to set certain settings is great!

NICE! Checked it out and it's very clean, I like this, off GOSMS! This is pretty fetch. Having one problem tho, sending MMS via Pansi I get the com.pansi.msg has stopped working. I can still send MMS via the stock app. Ohh well...

Also, has anyone noticed that you can't send MMS when you're on WIFI? Turn off WIFI and the MMS goes through just fine... Apparently it's a known bug, all the correct APN settings in are there too.

That's cause you need to be on your mobile data to sent an mms. According to the research I've done on the subject

Well that's kind of a bitch, you'd think it can differentiate on its own to utilize mobile date over wifi when it comes to MMS or whatever else for that matter.

Also, back to the stock SMS app, What are the red yield symbols? I looked everywhere, no definitive answer. I'm assuming an unsent message/txt, but I went through it and didn't see anything. If it is that, how do I find which one it was?

Reason i'm concentrating on SMS/MMS so much is that I'm having people tell me their not getting or have not gotten texts which show sent on my end. Missing pieces of convos and MMS not going through.

I saw this message today, but it was gmail related, something about attachment not being able to be sent

in SMS's it could also indicate a message in that convo that wasn't sent properly/failed?

Makes sense, but how do I know which one?

There wont be a sent time/date stamp for the text.

i forget what wording appears exactly, but basically it'll be obviously since u wont see a time/date listed.

it would say "failed" next to it in your convo history :)

Did the 4.2.2 upgrade today, now SwiftKey Flow Beta is acting dodgy and AdBlock Plus won't work for wifi anymore and keeps saying to add a port to the network proxy.

Anyone else upgrade? What are your pros or cons?
