Holland all the way. I hope they win it this year. I mean they have a really good squad (Van persie, sneider, robben, vander vaart, kuyt, hunterlaar, etc). Also south africa is sort of like a second home for the dutch. They have a large population there. I can't go another world cup with out them winning. I don't know why I support the dutch maybe the orange clothing, or just I like the whole dutch culture. Also bergkamp is the reason why I am now a die hard arsenal fan.
Anyway my prediction:
Holland vs Argentina in the final.
England vs Spain for third place.
Also why did you include a picture of Portsmouth (the one with the lady flashing her ), it's a club not a country, lol. |

a lot of teams lol and anyone playing against england.
a lot of players from my favorite club team (galatasaray) are in the world cup. harry kewell and lucas neill in australia. elano blumer in brazil. giovani das santos in mexico.. and keita in cote d ivoire..so i'm rooting for all these teams and holland. i have been a huge holland fan ever since the years of cocu, de boer brothers, reiziger, overmars, seedorf, stam, zenden, kluviert, bergkamp, hasselbaink etc. shame this team never won anything. |

Well I have a predisposition to support Greece but as a Man U supporter and having watched Rooney, I have a strong feeling about Rooney so England is one to watch but Argentina has a strong team. Greece is like a sneak attack, remember Euro 2004. I agree with Ali about Holland being second home court for South Africa, that is going to have weight. Still being realistic my prediction is

Btw, my friend manages Oliva and he is opening for all games. They're not charging a cover like a lot of places and the drinks are really good, some TAs have been there with me and had good times. It is on the corner of Allen and Houston.

If you were born in America, you should in route for America
come to 2:30pm on Saturday, Its all about the Red, White and Blue...
Do you people really cheer on other Countries in the Olympics...I should hope not...
Will honestly stab myself if Italy wins again. I will never forget the Guidos going ape at Surf Club when they won last time. For the most part you know damn well these mother Fukers have no idea who what or where the world cup is yet they dance around like a bunch of baboons. |

You, like most people, are picking all the obvious picks!! I hope you remember last World Cup, the one before it, and the one before that, which were all about surprises...
You just picked the top 4 teams everyone would think are poised to win it, which happen to be the top 4 teams that consistently disappoint each and every time... I think we're in for yet another round of surprises!!
GO USA!!!! Italy has a surprisingly good squad too. I like this year's team way more than 2006.. Also look out for teams like Mexico and some of the Eastern European countries, who've been quietly pulling upsets over the overrated big Euro teams just the past couple years.. |

Yeah.. I think it's okay to root for certain teams (since they're in different groups not affecting the U.S.) as a secondary fan..
I'm finding it a bit over the top though when I see American people on Facebook cheering for England... Unless you were born there, no excuse for that! Have some pride.. |
