Which is silly. Regardless of what happened between 97-99 with Bonds, he was one of the greatest players EVER before then. Forget just the hitting... (1.000+ OPS from 1992 - Now). But he has 500 career Stolen Bases. And he has however many gold gloves. Do you know how hard it is for a Left Fielder to win a Gold Glove?

Barry Bonds...

7 Time NL MVP
3 Time ML Player of the Year
3 Time Hank Aaron Award (Done during the roid controversy)
8 Time Gold Glove winner

Uhhhh... yea...

For the 3rd straight year, Kaz Matsui hits a home run in his first at-bat of the season
This time it was an inside-the-park HR

Too bad he hasn't done much after hitting that first homer
Let's hope it's different this year

The future of the Mets/Yankees rivalry:

quote:
Q: Jim from Texas asks:
Jose Tabata (in the Ynkees farm system) is unbelieveable. How does a 17 year old hit .327 and lead the league in doubles?

A: Matt Meyers: Tabata's line of .321-.327-.434 is certainly impressive, but you have to be a little concerned about his 15-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He is only 17, so there is plenty of time to work on that, but it is something he needs to work on. What is even crazier is that he has not even been the best 17-year-old player in the SAL. The Mets Fernando Martinez is hitting .333-.407-.569 with six walks and five strikeouts in two fewer at-bats then Tabata. Both are special talents, and it will be interesting to see how they compare up the minor league ladder. Particularly since they are both New York prospects.

Haha! The Mets 17-year old is better than the Yankees 17-year old. :p
