Santana yes, Liriano yes, Hernandez yes but Harden? No way man, I'd rather have Pedro. Harden is Mark Prior's twin. Wayyyy to injury prone. Great talent but I just think he's gonna have injury probs just like Prior. There might be one season he puts it together and wins 20 but still too much risk for me. Not that Pedro isn't sort of an injury risk but still. Pedro is a great, great pitcher. One of the top 1-3 pitchers in the past 10 years, maybe the best (Randy has turned for the worse and Clemens.. meh). Johan hasn't had enough years in in comparison. |
I think over the next 5 years, Harden will be a better pitcher than Pedro. Just my feeling.
As for Pedro... you know where I stand on the "greatest pitcher of our time" thing. No one comes close to Pedro. Santana will though... book it. |

Yeah. He's 22. I said the only guys I'd take over Pedro were much younger than he is. I'd also take Jake Peavy. I just didn't feel like making a list of every great young pitcher in baseball. |

That catch was insane. Would've tied the game and, if he had dove and missed, it's quite possible that Wright would've had an inside the park homerun... |

i don't know about the inside the park HR but it would have atleast given the mets a chance to go up with since it would be a 2B/3B and even if you say inside the parker.
That should be a web gem this week, quite possibly #1 since it was a momentum killer...
And wright laced that |

Well... Manny and Kapler are slow. So they wouldn't be getting to it. If Coco jumped like that and missed, the ball would've rolled all the way to the wall and who knows where it would go from there. He DEFINITELY would've had a triple. But with Maniac Manny Acta as our 3B coach, it's possible he would've sent him home even if the ball was at the cutoff man... |

baseball rule - never make the last out at third or home when your playing away because you have a better chance of scoring with another a bat then making the last out at third or home. fundamentals of the game... =)
edit - especially with the meat of the line up |
