thanks dan patrick. actually a-rod hurt his big toe too which is why he left the game in the 8th yesterday.

May Rod is hurting, they are taking X-Rays today. Obviously I don't like the guy and 3 errors is pretty brutal from a former gold glove SS, but the Yanks can't afford to have Nick Green in the lineup vs. him. They have enough injuries already. Getting Matsui back plus Dotel, Pavano, Cano, and then Sheff would be like a major trade acquisition. Just trying to hold serve until then.

Excellent call at 1st base in the 9th inning, as well! :clown:

The Milk Man!

Melky is showing some pop lately. Got Melky is money, clearly a fan fav already. Yanks farm system sucks so bad they've only produced Robinson Cano, Melky, and Wang in the last 2 years. 3 big reasons why they are doing so well this year.

I don't want Reggie Sanders. For what? Matsui is gonna be back in 3-4 weeks then they can put the Milk Man in RF until Sheff comes back. Once they are both back, rotate Matsui and Sheff at the DH spot since Melky has 9 freaking assists this year. Great arm and on target.

Andy Phillips has been an offensive spark too, another good game last night.

My friend pointed out to me that Juice needs to DH, Andy is a fine 1B fielding wise. Matsui is adequate in LF. So rotate Sheff/Juice at DH with Melky and Sheff rotating in RF. That's how I'd do it. If you look at it that way, we don't need another OF. The only thing is who will play RF next year once they let Sheff go but they can figure that out in the winter.

Buy pitching instead! Ponson was alright actually after the first....

Most rookie outfielders with decent arms rack up assists their first year because Major Leagues will test them. Last year, Jeff Francoeur had 13 assists in 65 games. Which is insane. This year? 5 in 94 games. So let's not annoint him Roberto Clemente just yet. :p

Random foot note that will make Mets fans breathe a sigh of relief:

Back in July of 2002, the Mets wanted outfield help. So Steve Phillips called up Toronto about Jose Cruz Jr. He offered a Single A minor leaguer for Cruz. JP Ricciardi, being ever so stat-heavy, decided against the trade and it never happened. That minor leaguer turned out to be one of the best players in the Majors by 2006, David Wright.

Could you imagine... ? :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

BTW...

I was at the Yankee Game last night...

List of things to do at Yankee Game:

1. Got Drunk
2. Yelled at people
3. Argued with retarded Yankee fans
4. Got 2 people kicked out of the game
5. Security warned that they'd kick me out
6. Gave everyone around me 5 when the Yankees were scoring it up in the 9th (before the delay)

Not completed:

1. Get into a drunken fight.

That game was TOO MUCH FUN!
