One of the best days of the year for Mets fans!

Glavine is a-ok
Mets get Shawn Green (ok, it's not as big as the Abreu trade, but it will help, and the Mets didn't give up much)
Delgado extended his 30-HR's season streak and hits his 400th home run
and Beltran hit a come-from-behind walk-off home run!
I was at the game - first walk-off HR I ever saw in person!
Slick Willy (aka Bill Clinton) was in attendance as well :p

word. i didn't get there til the 5th inning. i was at field level and walking behind home plate when i watched carlos delgado's grand slam go off into the night. great atmosphere all game. goddamnit, get rid of the wave at shea. there's an exciting game to watch.

i've watched a lot of walk off hits at shea this year. beltran knows when it's time to do something special. he was smiling like crazy for the first time.

They need somebody to make up for the big-hype(Mr.Milledge), another Met position player bust, Melky looks like alot better prospect these days. Its amazing to me how bad of an outfielder he is. Shawn Greens stats look alot like a typical player in the Juiced ball era. He peaked in 01 a steady decline since.

OR he's tailing off naturally like a regular player should who's not on steroids. at 28, 29 he'd be hitting his peak as a ballplayer. either way, an upgrade over a gimp floyd and inconsistent milledge.

HAHAHAHA at calling Milledge a bust.

Lastings Milledge: 130 AB .238/.310/.400

Mystery Player in 2004: 138 AB .246/.333/.406

Both are natural Center Fielders. The Mystery Player is in the AL.

So, before you call Milledge a "bust," realize that not all hot prospects come up and instantly produce like David Wright or Miguel Cabrera.

Even with a terrible road trip the Yanks still gain another game in standings. *Gloat*

True, 6 1/2 games up...not sure where I'm supposed to be crying. Every team struggles at some stages. Yanks are also winning despite having a pitcher hitting in the meat of the order and striking out 10/12 times.

By the way, K Rod is a douche. Not Francisco Rodriguez. The other bum.

Any bets on when Carl Pavano will pitch again in the bigs, either for the Yankees or another team?

Man, first his shoulder problem last year, then he hurt a buttock (or was it both of them?) in the spring, and now this...
He apparently suffered two broken ribs in a car accident, but didn't tell anyone for 2 weeks, and still pitched some rehab games
