Verlander pitched a SUPERB GAME! He had some tight spots yesterday that he worked out of, some DPs that were much needed. I tip my hat to his preformance...definitely a young lively arm!
Also, Zumaya was throwing smoke, I was in the RF Bleachers and he clearly was reaching back on all his pitches. Definitely impressed with this boys arm |

LOL thanks captain obvious, should we talk about pedro crying or the duke's calf injury...
weak to single out players and throw out little jab comments...
i'll stand behind my yanks even when they lose, even when they choked on the boston up 3, but i'll never become one of those mets fans who all of a sudden started filling that empty stadium. |

why would a fan defend his team that is losing? yeah i can understand what was said about empty seats, but talking when your team sucks? that doesnt make any sense. the problem i have with yankee fans is that a good bunch of them are convinced that they can get any player they want, without a problem. there was so much talked when they got A-rod over boston. that is part of the reason why i love the fact that he sucks so much right now.
where were all the yankee fans in the 80's when they sucked? if i remember correctly there were a lot of empty seats at the stadium during the lean years. i even used to root for the yankees when i was a kid. i got so sick of so many "fake fans" comming out of the woodwork after 1996. and to hear people bitch about not having won a world series since 2000??? give me a break. what about teams like the cubs. what makes you guys so special?
i dont have a problem with most of the people on here and another site that i read the baseball threads on, but 8 times out of 10 when i hear a conversation between two yankee fans, or some yankee fan preaching to a met/boston fan about how great the yanks are regardless of what they currently doing because of either: a: they have 26 rings, or b: they will get so and so next year and win it then, it makes me want to throw up. |

you can talk about that i don't care. but i find it pathetic that the yankees fans, not necessarily you, are booing a-rod like crazy. he should man up like beltran and tell people to stop booing. at least show he has feelings. |
