interesting to have 2 NY vs. Chicago matchups this weekend
Yanks vs. White Sox, one of the best teams in the AL
Mets vs. Cubs, one of the worst teams in the NL |

| Yanks pick up Sidney Ponson for their rotation, after he was let go by the Cardinals (who then got Jeff Weaver) |

Snooze, 7-9 hitters are automatic outs. How exciting is that?
I think guys that score with women like the AL more. Cuz we like scoring.
 |
makes sense
I love seeing the red sox bullpen getting overused then blowing the game the last 2 games |

Mo gets his 400th save in completing a Yankee sweep of the White Sox
He did in impressive fashion, as it was for 2 full innings, and he drew 2 double plays |

Most importantly, the Yankees are 1/2 games back of Boston and 3 games back of the wild card White Sux. Yanks pitching is starting to do pretty well especially when most of the AL is pretty awful. It's always a decided advantage when you have a great closer like Mo. He's the best!
Mariners in town, I was hoping for another sweep but then I remembered Sidney Ponson is pitching Tuesday. That's an automatic blood bath! My prediction is that the Yanks will get someone else to replace him after his 2-3 atrocious starts. I hope I'm wrong.
Bobby Abreu is all the talk in the papers. Not really a big fan of that. Not a great defensive player, he's lost his power, and is considered a clubhouse malcontent potentially ruining the great chemsity the Yanks got this year. |

When the yankees get matsui and cano back, they will be the 2nd best team in AL. Boston has one starter(schilling) a rookie closer.
White sox starters showed there true colors this weekend most have era's over 5.00. They cant hit way out vs the better al tems. |

Mets hit 2 salamis for a franchise record 11 runs in one inning, against the Cubs
A great display on national TV :toothless
Good to see them beat a rookie pitcher for once
Sure bailed out El Duque, who didn't last through the 2nd inning, and gave up a home run to the Cubs pitcher |

E-Rod was vintage last night, so Nick Green gets the start tonight :p
Seriously, twas probably just an unusually bad day, and luckily the team still won the game |
