The Yankees are in shambles right now.
Hideki Matsui, Carl Pavano, & Tanyon Sturtz are all out for 2 + months.
Gary Sheffield & Bubba Crosby are on the 15-day DL.
Kyle Farnsworth has a sore back.
Jorge Posada has back spasms.
Bernie Williams has a tight buttocks muscle.

Wagner :whip:
Goes from being lights-out last night, to a downright awful performance (3 walks, 1 hit batter) today
Turned a Pedro gem and a series win (with a chance to sweep) into one of the Mets worst losses of the season |

Exactly. The bandwagon fans from the 96' season will jump over to the Mets as they keep winning.
I work in an intermediate school in Staten Island. I see more Mets gear on kids than Yankees stuff lately. And kids are the barometer for any sports bandwagon. |

| i think a lot of it also deals with when you were born... if you were born in the mid 60s, you grew up with mets success. mid 70s, some yankee success. early to mid 80s, the mets were on top of the town. |

Wagner makes it interesting, but he comes back to save the rubber game
Mets win the series
Yanks will be limping into Boston |

| I had no problem with his outing today. Those two hits were not really hard hit at all. What makes me upset about Wagner is the inconsistency. Though... someone showed me something that I found interesting. 3 of Wagner's tiest outings have come with Ramon Castro catching. Something to think about. |

| Just curious... these threads for the past 2 years have been pretty active. Seems like there's only 4 or 5 regulars in here this year. Why? |
