not that it doesent happen with fans of other teams, but i know way too many yankee fans that stop paying attention to baseball once the yanks are out of it. |

there a lot of met fans. the mets just havent been good in a while so you havent heard us. i think that most met fans, like myself will take every opportunity to enjoy a yankee loss, but wont go ape about a mets team unless there is really something to get excited about. yes i am making a generalization here, but i think for the most part it is on point cause there have been a few mets teams that have been great on paper but sucked on the field. for the first time in a while, the hype has turned into reality.
and not all yankee fans do this, but there are way too many of them that think the yankees are the greatest thing since sliced bread just cause they are the yankees and their payroll is $548458548543 every year.
i'm not saying that the tigers are going to win the series, but are you guys at least a little nervous at this point?
it still bothers me a little that the mets had to go and spend a bunch of money to have some of shot at making the series (one of the things i cant stand about steinbrenner and the yanks). there should be a salary cap in baseball...end of story. |

see i think thats unfair, every shot at the yankees and their fans always has to do with money. us fans, yea we feel it in the pockets too when we go to support our team just like any other professional sports team. would you say the same thing about the bulls and their fans when MJ had his reign...or about anyone who wears a Jordan sneaker (from 1-25 + how many times the old sneakers have been retro'd)
Verlander pitched a SUPERB GAME! He had some tight spots yesterday that he worked out of, some DPs that were much needed. I tip my hat to his preformance...definitely a young lively arm!
Also, Zumaya was throwing smoke, I was in the RF Bleachers and he clearly was reaching back on all his pitches. Definitely impressed with this boys arm |
