Wagner blows a save in 3 pitches, and gives up a walk-off home run :whip:
Has anyone blown a save AND lost a game more quickly this season? |

Like every year, the Red Sox get the AL East lead, then give it up
Varitek going on the DL for knee surgery surely won't help them |

Unfortunately I think it should go to David Ortiz. He has carried that team on his back throughout the year.
Yanks are in cruise control. In first place with Sheff/Matsui/Cano coming back and possibly Pavano/Dotel as well. Adding Abreu has been golden and Lidle is definitely better than Chacon/Ponson or whomever.
I like our chances...
Subway series repeat? :clown: |

| I think a more interesting AL Award race is for Rookie of the Year and Cy Young. Papelbon or Liriano? If you give one the Cy Young, shouldn't that mean that he is also the Rookie of the Year? |

CY Young - Liriano (Verlander #2 perhaps)
ROY - Papelbon
MVP - Verlander
;)
Just kidding about MVP.
Jared Weaver isn't too shabby either.... |

| If a rookie pitcher wins the Cy Young, how could a different pitcher win the Rookie of the Year over him? |

I don't think there's really a comparison. Then again... the baseball writers suck at giving the awards to the right player. |

You can share ROY? They both are deserving of something so I split it up. Cy Young should lean towards a starter I guess even though I'm backtracking from my Rivera posts before.
Will Papelbon be a starter next year?
Liriano > Verlander
Santana/Liriano playoffs.... scary! |
