Escalating situation in (country of) Georgia (pg. 25)

As some of you know, Russia rents out a former Soviet naval base near Sevastopol, in Ukraine. It pays some amount of dollars annually to the Ukrainian government to use that base for its naval headquarters in the Black Sea. The base servs as Russian Black Sea naval headquarters, and a significant portion of Sevastopol' Russian-speaking population works at this base.

Russian media reports that Ukrainian government is refusing to allow Russian military ships back to the port, under the pretext that these ships participated in an unsanctioned by the Ukrainian government conflict (even though they mainly patrolled and/or blockaded parts of Georgian coast). These same officials say that Russians should have given a 24-hour notice for permission for these ships to do such actions, even if in distant and/or foreign lands.

Ukrainian politicians are further lobbying on prematurely cutting apart the naval base renting agreement to push out Russians out of Crimea, once and for all. Currently, Russia is leasing the base from Ukraine until 2025 at a cost of about 20 million bucks per year.

There is nothing you can say that takes away from the fact you are a pathetic hypocrite. Volunteer to serve in the war you so dearly love, or shut the up. Nobody wants to hear your mindless tripe anymore..

I think Russia should give back the land it took from Finland in 1939-40.

I think Ukraine should give back the Russian Crimea. Eastern Ukraine, around Kharkov, and Crimea, are predominantly ethnic Russian, and have been part of traditional Russia for centuries, even before the Polish-Lithuanian centuries-old control over Western Ukraine - Eastern Ukraine was Russia, have been part of Russia and then conveniently passed to Ukraine by idiot Khrushchev as a "gift".

I dont think that the photos are fake, I did some research and its really hard to assume that they're fake.

Especially when looking at these:

There are some suspicious photos, but seriously though, its not a smart idea to insult the war's victims and play the fake accusations game right now.

Ukraine did not take the land by force.

Russia received parts of land around Finland as a result of WW2. By the way, Ukraine received much of its current Western lands as a result of that war, too ;-) lands around Lvov were part of Poland before WW2 ;-) I guess we should give that to Poland, give it back ... lets see what Ukrainian politicians have to say about that!

Poland in 1931. Look at Eastern parts of it, today are part of Ukraine.

Uh, there was no Ukraine after world war II. It was part of the Soviet Union. Poland received land from Germany as reparation for their brutal invasion and occupation. So Poland's borders lost land in the east, gained land in west, but Poland nor USSR got land by force. Poland was a puppet state to the USSR.

In 1939, the USSR invade a democratic Finland to force them to cede land in the Kerelia, and the center and northern frontiers, all the way up to the Arctic. They brought in an army of 750,000 troops, over 2000 tanks, over 1000 air craft, thousands of artillery guns, and made an unprovoked attack on Finland with the full expectation of conquering the entire country and turning it into a communist puppet state. I think Finland should get its land back.

It's ok guys:

Speaking to reporters about the situation in Georgia, Sen. John McCain denounced the aggressive posture of Russia by claiming that:"in the 21st century nations don't invade other nations."
