LOL it is funny if that's true, considering how they treat women and gay people in Iran today. The only good thing to come out of Iran these days are some of those handmade silk rugs.

and Hardcore Trancer... if our nation, who runs economic and indusrial circles around that sandtrap called Iran, is doing so by people who don't understand logic then what does that say about your people? Arguing with you is like picking low hanging fruit. I need a bigger challenge

it's debatably whether the cyrus was even a charter of human rights, however, it is irrelevant because the iranian government and the babylonian government are not even remotely connected (other than by geography). Nevertheless, the iranians long standing tradition  of providing humans rights to its citizens is clearly alive and well today.

Well, Iran may not be at the top scientific advances, but they have a long and proud history. Iran may not have a liberal democracy, but that is no excuse to carry out "regime change". It also does not mean Iran is a "piece of " country, which is what I imply you meant by pointing out Iran's lack of scientific progress.

It's called the "Cyrus cylinder". King Cyrus is the one who freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity. Much more importantly than silk rugs, is Iran's oil reserve. Iran has huge economic potential and need for reform. But the more the West (specifically the Bush administration) threatens Iran (which by the way poses no threat to America's territory), the more support the hardliners get. Iranians aren't begging for "liberation"..

Yeah you must have a clear picture of how Iran is today!!My dad just came back from there and things are nowhere near how idiots like you describe it.I asked him if the people are waiting to be saved by Americans and he laughed and he said as soon as they step their foot inside Iran, they should be prepared to fight millions of people. So no idiot people do have rights and yes not everyone is happy there but to come and just say Everyone is unhappy to women dont have rights is purely ignorant. Then again you wouldnt know any of this since this is beyond your level of intelligence.

Iran has been doing fine without any relations with the Us for the last 20 something years.More like you need our oil and Gas to run your country dont forget that yank.

:stongue: Is there anyone that's more easily fired up than you? The US could turn Iran into a parking lot without stepping foot on Iranian soil, and you know that. If Iran is so wonderful, why are you in Canada? Go back to that hole and make a difference.

And yeah, I've seen our economy... so what? Let's compare:
Unemployment Rate: Iran 12%, U.S. 4.8%
GDP: Iran $753 billion, U.S. $13.84 trillion
Market value of publicly traded shares: Iran $45.2 billion, U.S. $17 trillion.

I could go on but you get the point. Even when our economy is considered "not doing so well" we are still doing just fine. To call it a disaster is hilarious. You read too much from the liberal media who paints a gloomy picture of everything. In reality, I don't know a single person who's life has gone into the ter since the price of oil went haywire. And we need your oil to run our country so badly, that you aren't even in the top 15 countries we import from. Get back at me when you got something legit to talk about

first, you didn't imply that i think Iran is a 'piece of country' because you flat out said it. The implication went out the window with your quotes.

Second, i could careless about iran's government or how its treats its people. I could careless whether the iranian government all over the iranian people or the people decided to overthrow the government kill all politicians. I just dont give a fuk about iran.

My responses are to trancer's idiotic comments that americans are dumb. There is so much evidence to the contrary (the reason for citing the noble prize page), however, trancer is too indoctrinated with his mid eastern muslim bull pride. It is unquestionable that the US has been the most important source of technological advances in the 21st century. Iran may have a proud history but that is not the point. Noone, except trancer, would argue that iran has been anywhere near as important to the world as the united states. In fact, as far as modern contributions, iran has been the toilet paper that americans (as well as germans, british, and french) wipe their asses with. Without it's oil, iran is nothing; noone would give a about the country.

Trancer noticably stopped responding to me when he couldn't answer any of the questions. I would think, since he is iranian, and thus a fuking genious, that he would be able to note at least one major contribution to the modern world made by an iranian. One contribution shouldn't be a challenge, i'm sure it's out there. He's one of the first to question a person's intelligence, however, he has yet to provide evidence of his own brilliance through a well written post.

if americans are so dumb, why does the world come to american universities to be educated by mostly american professors? I would love to know why people don't flock to iran to be taught by iranians. perhaps trancer could provide a solid coherent reason for that.

again, i have nothing against iran, i'm just sick of trancer's bull anti-american comments. It's getting very old.

he can't. he is wildly misinformed and hasn't responded to my comments because he won't get anywhere with melodramatic comments. If the US economy is so poorly run, what does it say about the rest of the world when there is such a high correlation between the health of the american economy and the health of the world economy.

You think Iam actually gonna respond to you?I dont need to show you any proof about Iran if you dont know what they have done for the world then it is your lack of knowledge and stupidity.I dont have time to come and educate some hillbilly about Iran.
It is waste of time and no matter how much information I provide you ll continue to run your mouth like and idiot on how America is better then Iran,It is like talking to a brick wall really.

i'm not saying that, i'm saying america is better than iran. a good amount of the success of america, although i would stop short of saying more than a majority of it, is brain drain from germany, the UK, and other parts of the world.

then != than. you should really sharpen your grammar skills prior to calling others idiots.

hillbilly - i'm from jersey city kid. there is nothing country about my area. as for the idiot comment, i have three university degrees, one of which is from a top 5 law school. your diverse vocabulary (idiot, stupid, moron, etc...) clearly displays your superior education level. i'm sure noone on this forum, lest the US, could match your brilliance.

pretty impressive:

[quote]from your wikipedia article
Almost none of these universities however are mentioned (or perhaps not evaluated) in the 2007 Academic Ranking of World Universities (link), nor in the The Times Higher Education Supplement.[5] Sharif University of Technology at number 529 and University of Tehran at number 539 are the only Iranian universities that appear in the THES world ranking for 2007.[16][17][18]

which were the first twenty schools in that list mentioned in the article? hint hint, the entire ivy league is in the US.

Wow man you've convinced me. I love how you still refuse to answer Jerz's legitimate questions by basically saying, "I don't have to explain anything to you... if you don't already know, forget it." It's funny that you keep telling us we know nothing about Iran when you are from Iran and live in Canada, but supposedly are some kind of aficionado on America and know more about it than those of us who have lived here our entire lives. If you actually could answer those questions, you'd have a real argument. But you can't so you toss out insults instead... what a joke.

I never said if a country isn't America, it's a hole... you put those words in my mouth. Tell me how Iran isn't a hole though and I'll listen with an open mind. We don't give a about Iran's oil... we give a about keeping that Strait of Hormuz waterway open so the oil we do import can get here. You can't even refine your own oil... you rely on others to do that. My $40,000 box of a vehicle isn't suffering one bit by the way. I feel nothing inside "knowing my money is being wasted every day in Iraq" because it isn't. I haven't been directly affected one bit because I don't rely on government to take care of me.

And no, I don't give a about democracy in Iran. Who said I did? I don't care if Iran exists or not. And lastly, your comment about my lady being a slut has zero effect on me. Obviously, a personal attack on someone's character you don't know reflects on your ignorance. I guarantee that you can't look in the mirror at yourself and truly believe that you would even get the time of day from a girl like that. LOL... you can only dream of being with a beautiful woman. Tell me I'm wrong

wow you are still going on and on about the Great America?? dude get over yourself already. There is a whole world out there and I suggest that you get out sometimes and then you ll begin to realize that no America isnt the greatest in country in the world.

Hormuz waterway is controlled by Iran and they know how important it is to the Yanks and the instance they are attacked it will be bye bye to oil for your car for a while, but then again you claim you are above everyone else since you dont rely on the government and you have a wicked car so Iam sure you ll be just fine. :haha:

You keep saying we dont give a about Iran then whats with the constant bitching on how they are making Nukes all the time?

You must feel all proud posting a picture of some random slut on the net and going and on about it.like omg you are totally cool man Iam so jealous. :(
