Thanks in advance for any info...

This might help...but i still wouldn't walk. http://randallsisland.org/maps-dire...andalls-island/

I got a limo with like 10 people the first year of the Zoo and it was only 10 bucks a person from Astoria. Not a bad deal and we got to drink/relax in comfort. Could be a good method of getting there for anyone in the Astoria area.

I bought the early bird with whatever the cheapest shipping was. Haven't received them yet.

There could be a conspiracy of sending early birds last to prevent those from reselling for profit. I bought mine sometime early summer and already have mine.

lol i made the taxi driver take the wrong exit right after the tolls on my way there. there was no u-turn for 10 mins with traffic jammed. ended up paying 60 bucks for a ride that was suppose to be 7 bucks lol
Excess

I'm fairly sure this is what happened. I got my Early Bird tonight when I got home from work and I don't know anyone that is waiting for a wristband that they purchased over the summer (and some had them 2 weeks ago).

If water taxi tickets sell out I'll probably do the WARDS ISLAND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE.

It says FRI / SAT / SUN its open all times.

You can always just drive...

Last year we drove in, parked right on the island, a few hundred yards from the box office. The year before, I drove into the city, parked on the East Side near where the bridge is, and cabbed it over. No biggie.

Park on the East Side and cab it in sounds pretty good. Was it hard getting a cab out of the island??

They had buses lined up taking people back across the bridge after the festival ended the first year. Not sure if that is the case this year as well though.

Their site already says that you are paying for a round trip when you go from Manhattan to RI via the MTA bus (X??). So yeah, they'll basically be free back because they won't be swiping.
If you leave about 5 minutes before the end they're won't be a line as they usually have a few buses ready to go. I've never wait any of the 4 days in the past.
