I'm surprised they went with a Friday instead of Monday (Labor Day). Monday is a guaranteed day off for everyone, while Friday not so much.
What do you guys think if they moved Electric Zoo next year to the Meadowlands? You wouldn't have a dirt problem there, and there would be so much more room for parking. They hold Bamboozle and the Warped Tour there every year and it draws out tens of thousands of people.
Maybe they could make a deal to have mainstage in the IZOD center or something. |

I think it has to do more with the ticket broker than Made Event. I don't know why they don't just work with Ticketmaster. It's more widely recognized and even though they have bull service fees too, it's only $7 a ticket ($21 for this). |

wow crap i didnt even think about that. Yeah so now people will have to take off a friday when most have monday off
to be honest my old company would frown upon that (because theyre jerks) but it would kinda suck to have to take a day off. BUT its nice having monday to recover that dust kills :(
I wish they would move it. I love randals but the dust seriously killed a ton of peoples lungs this year. Like- reallllly bad my room mate is pretty much still in and out of the dr. And i have bronchitus ALL the time (i missed ezoo...shh we wont talk about IT!) so Id probably have been hospitalized hahah
re: price imo its an EXTREMELY decent price
re: presales now: perfect business move, and looking at it it should have almost been expected. They need the sales now itll be like a little bonus to enable this to work really well . They have minimal stuff (as usual) right now and to get the extra dough will help guarentee some items go off without a hitch.
plus...how many people are looking for gifts for their bf/gf ect ect?? this is right in a LOT of peoples price range too (think combo gift ect)
well done made. thank you for reminding me that you do have some smart cookies running the show.
with that said...i have a little more faith in the 3 days. I certainly think they can pull it off. Lets not forget who helps them throw this event :) :) :) |

3 days of dirt for only $123.00+ 18% services charges 9 months before the event without one named artist? Well for those who REALLY like to plan ahead this is perfect XMAS gift.
Seriously though the price is on par with other 3 day events (Ultra,EDC)....I am more concerned about who they will get to play for those 3 days.
We all know about the logistics issues they went on...can an extra day of this sort of disorganization with MORE people be a good thing? |

Im sure it wouldn't be an issue and might be a necessity with all that dust this past Eletric Zoo. I was coughing dust for a week after the dusty weekend. |

Meadowlands always has events every weekend and I'm pretty sure it would cost them so much more to rent the place for a week. Remember that setting up probably takes about a week and packing up would take a while. I can't even imagine how much it would cost to rent that place out for almost 2 weeks with all the games,concerts, and shows they have their (plus the fleamarket which i work at on saturdays)
I just wish the event was Sat-Sun-Mon. I know Monday is good for people to rest but many people like myself work on Friday and it's not easy to take everyone off. I also agree that 3 days is overkill and getting in out of there 3 nights is going to be a bitch. But It might be worth in for many if the lineups are better and they can possibly have the tents at different areas of Randalls Island to help with the dust. |
