Well, its random for people who are primarily into trance, sure.
I have friends who aren't into trance so much, who are actually pretty amped to check him out, just for nostalgia's sake really. I'm in the same boat to be honest.
I don't get why everyone is so appalled by the booking. Its a 3-day musical festival with almost 100 acts. Snoop Dogg is literally 1% of the entire lineup lol. |

I'm with Zack, doesn't personally matter to me and it's only one act. Though, I can see how some people might be bothered as it gives a perspective on the state of the EDM scene as a whole and where it could be headed.
For instance, I used to be a big Hip Hop head in the 90's (back when Common used to be Common Sense and Black Eyed Peas didn't have a Fergie), but as the SNR of commercial garbage to actual Hip Hop become too difficult to explore new acts, and started to corrupt previous favorites (see above) I gave up on the genre entirely.
I actually saw Snoop @ Amnesia Ibiza last month, but billed as Snoop Dogg and not Snoopadelic so he was actually performing, if that's what you can call talking over a backing track for 45 minutes. Interest in the show was extremely high. It was wall to wall people. It was impossible to move. And yet Magda was slamming a banging set in the next room only half full. :nervous: |

Maybe not so random if there were other rap artists, but there aren't. Not appalled - just surprised. Rap is not EDM and I feel the booking could be a mood changer (and not just to the Trance fans). Just my opinion. |

Rap is made Electronically. People Dance to it. And, it is indeed Music. It is 100% a form of EDM.
About Snoop Dogg being a mood changer... He will be for sure. So what though? Thats always the case when it comes to the main stage at these festivals. Go through the main stage lineups from the previous years, and this year as well, and see if you think that the lineups were arranged to keep a continuous mood. You will see thats never the case, and thats why this festival is so cool IMO. |

i remember waiting on the line to get a bite to eat and i start to hear hip hop with random talking over it and just a swarm of people leaving ha ha
even my friend who wanted to see them was disapointed |
